Things aren't always as they seem

Chapter 2: School

Krystal -

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Ugh stupid alarm!" It was 6:45 and I knew I had to get up before I fell back asleep. I checked my unread kik messages. I had about 20 from Diane and Mary. "Hey. Helllooo? Krystal. Stop playing. Are you okay?" And things like that. My head hurt real bad and I didnt remember most of last night until the hot water from the shower touched my cuts on my arm. Thats when I remembered my nightmare. Currently I'm 13 and living with my 20 year old sister. We were a real family ... a four person family. But that all changed until the day my mom caught my dad cheating. He left that same night and never returned. I was at the moment 4 years old I started getting abused at 5 ... the man I so called dad wasnt my biological dad. The day he left my mom had told him that I may not be his. And that is why I used to get blamed for him leaving us. Once my sister turned 18 she got custody of me at age 11 then we moved to California. I cried silently in the shower. Today was the first day of Freshman year. After my shower I got dressed and put my hair in a bun did my make up and left the house. 7:30. "Not bad school doesnt start till 8." I saw Mary ahead of me about a block. I called to her and we walked together. "Hey how come you wernt answering my messages last night ?"

"Oh.. uhm.. I was really tired I fell asleep early.." I lied. Once we got to school we noticed so many cute boys. We met up with Diane. "Oh my gosh look at the guy!" I said pointing to some guy talking with his friends he was tall.. well at least taller than me he was darker than me too. His eyes were just the normal brown color but there was something about him that made him look so dreamy. "Earth to Krystal!!" Yelled Mary. "Ahah sorry theres just something about that guy."

"Then go talk to him! Introduce yourself! " Diane said getting excited.

*RIIIIIINGGGG*

"Okay talking to this guy will have to wait girls." We all headed to first period together since we had the same periods together. I then noticed the guy going to the same class as we were. "Oh my gosh you have a classs with him!" Diane squealed.  Blushing I said "Ahah I know I noticed." The teacher Ms. Gutierrez put us into groups of two and I ended up getting paired up with the dreamy dude. "Good luck" Diane said while winking at me. I shoved her a bit which made her laugh. "Hi im Krystal." I told him. "Hi im Daniel." He said with the cutest smile ever. I had to look up and he had to look down. My type of guy. To my surprise we got along really well I found out things about him as well as he did about me. The bell rang and we said our goodbyes.

Few periods later..

Finally I found you guys! Mary and Diane were sitting at a bench. School food made me noxious. So I never really ate there

"Oh my gosh so how did you and the guy get along ??" Mary said while Diane was going to the bathroom.

"It was pretty cool aha his name is daniel and he lives with his dad and younger sister an..." I got cut off by someone covering my eyes and to my surprise it was Daniel. "Oh hey !" I said blushing. "Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go get some fro-yo or something after school"

"Oh yeah that'd be cool but uhm ... is it a date?" I said laughing

"If you want it to be then sure" he winked "Meet me at the parking lot after school" then he turned around and left. "Oh my gosh was just happened ?!?!?" I told Mary

"Uhm you just got invited onto a date with one of hottest guys in school" mary said sarcastically.  "Well duuuuh! Hey whats this ... " there was a post it on the table with a number and the name read Daniel. "Oooh girl get some" Diane said laughing.

"Did you see what happened?!" Mary asked her. "Yeah I just didnt want to ruin the moment so I stood a couple feet away. But wow Krystal first day of school and you already got invited on a date!"

I kept blushing "Yeah I kn.." I got cut off again but this time by Mary "Yeah not to mention hes super HOT" we all burt out laughing. Then the bell rang to go to class.

Only two more periods till school ends and I get to go on a date with Daniel.
