As we arrived back at Michael's house, it was getting into the later afternoon, easing into the evening. The golden glow of the sun made me yawn and the warmth of Trevor, who I was oddly leaning against, was making me sleepy. We parked the semi outside of Michael's property and out on the street. We got out and got in Trevor's truck.

Trevor then pulled out of the driveway, the gate automaticly opening, and we started to drive off back towards Sandy Shores.

"I have a question." Trevor openly asked.

"And I probably have an answer." I answered, resting my head on the door.

He looked over at me. "You like Michael?" It sounded more like a statement than a question, but I just looked over at him.

"Yeah, he seems like a nice guy." I said.

"You know what I mean." Trevor scowled.

I stayed quiet for a little bit. "What would your reaction be if I said yes?"

He just shook his head. "Nothing is going to be between you two. He's a fat, lying--"

"Can you please stop insulting him?" I snapped, turning my attention out the window, watching the rolling landscape pass by.

Trevor remained silent. He rarely pestered me like this. Usually it was me asking him if he liked a certain girl and he'd get all annoyed by that.

It was about another fifteen minutes, just as I was almost asleep when Trevor spoke again.

"Even if he did like you back or whatever, he can't be in love with you, he's with Amanda. Even if they don't properly love each other like a normal couple, they are married. With two kids." Trevor explained. "I don't want you with him because he cheats, lies, and hurts people. I'm speaking from experience here."

"He's not a bad person, I see it in his eyes. He's just deeply troubled. As if a stormy cloud is blocking the sun. He just needs someone to clear his sky, if that makes any sense to your tiny brain." I rolled my eyes.

"He---"

"He did what was right, you heard it yourself in the car eariler!" I shouted, instantly dropping my temper. "I'm sorry.."

Trevor just looked at me, resituating in his seat. "Hey... uh.. get some sleep, it's a long car ride."

Glad with being able to rest in peace, I closed my eyes and drifted into a paradise.

I blinked my eyes open, with a nasty, moldy, and gasoline smell instantly hitting my nose. A sighting of a rusty white ceiling brought be from my peaceful state of sleeping and into Trevor's gross trailer.

"Oh." I heard a bottle smashing against the ground. I rubbed my eyes and sat up.

"Carried you inside." Trevor took a drink from a beer. "You looked peaceful."

"For the moment." I eyed him, his hazel eyes looking directly back at me. "The argument we had eariler, I didn't mean to get all snappy. I didn't know what came over me."

"What do you even see in him?" Trevor grunted, raising an eyebrow.

"He's---" I rubbed the back of my neck. "He just seems nice and.. he's... attractive."

Trevor spit out the beer that was in his mouth. "What?"

"You heard me." I crossed my arms.

"Woah woah woah." Trevor set his beer on the table next to where he was sitting and slid off the table. He walked closer to me. "You nuts? He's a fat---" He stopped after I gave him an intense stare.

"Shut up." I snarled. "Don't insult him or if you do, don't do it around me. It's annoying. Besides, I don't think he deserves it."

That left Trevor speechless. All he could say was "I need to go to the store" and he was out the door in an instant.

It left me in peace.

Thoughts were swimming in my mind. It was late night and I was getting sleepy again. Even though it has been a day since I've eaten, I wasn't really hungry. I just didn't feel good. Maybe I was homesick or many it was just the smell of Trevor's disgusting trailer.

I laid back down on the couch, stretching my legs out and fluffing the one pillow I had. I pressed my head against it, yawning and then just stared at the door. Half of me wanted to sleep. The other half wanted to go for a walk, to clear my head.

Trevor was right about one thing, as much as it pains me to admit Trevor was right for once. Michael was married to Amanda. With two kids. I can't just swoop in and expect him to just ditch his family. Even though it seems they aren't happy, he married her for a reason.

I couldn't really clear that thought from my head. One of the only guys I have ever actually liked was already taken with a family. I guess I had a romantic interest back in Greendale, but he turned out to be someone I didn't actually know.

A slow sigh escaped my lips. I shouldn't be doing this to my own head. I should find something to do, like draw, go for a run, or watch TV to keep my mind off of the haunting past of mine. But sleep somehow sounded better than anything else.

Just as I started to drift off into a sleep, I heard footsteps coming towards the door. That was a pretty quick grocery run, but I kept my eyes shut, not really wanting to argue with him further. The door flung open, and footsteps approached me quickly. Spanish words were flying all over, and before I could open my eyes, a blunt force knocked me out into a black oblivion.
