The Narrator opened his eyes to find himself on the ground, in a field of lush, green grass "Ok, I'm either dreaming or I'm dead" he said to himself before hauling himself to his feet. His head was still pounding when he suddenly remembered what had just happened, he looked around to see the escape pod smashed into the ground with broken pieces of glass scattered everywhere, then he looked down at his feet to see Stanley unconscious by his side, a wave of panic took over him as he bent down and held Stanley's limp body in his arms "Stanley? did we make it?...Stanley?...why aren't you getting up?...Stanley! we're free Stanley! please! get up!" Tears began to form in his eyes as he stared down at him, it wasn't meant to be like this...

Stanley awoke in a dark place, at first he thought he was dead until a woman stepped out from the dark and came face to face with him, she was quite tall and had short white hair that seemed to compliment the piercing yellow eyes she had that gave her a stern yet distinctive look. Her skin was unnaturally pale and something about her just seemed...off " You must be Stanley" she spoke in a cold and commanding voice, it sent shivers down Stanley's spine just hearing it "Who are you?" he asked, trying not to show any signs of fear "You may call me Glados, I've recently been informed that you and a certain Narrator have escaped from their game and I have been tasked with returning you" Fear consuming him, Stanley tried to run away but was stopped by some invisible force he couldn't understand "There is no point in running, You'll never find anything out there" he turned around to meet the woman's gaze, it felt like her eyes were burning right into him "No! The Narrator will help me! we're never going back!" he yelled, Glados just hook her head in disappointment "Oh humans, so gullible, do you really believe that silly Narrator cares about you? he knows much more than you think he does, but I'll let you carve your own path Stanley, for now" with that she disintegrates and a white light appears infront of Stanley, enveloping him as he begins to regain consciousness.

Stanley awoke to the sound of...crying? he could also feel a pair of warm arms wrapped around him as he looked up to see the Narrator crying over him , if he needed proof that the narrator cared this would be it, he reached up and placed his hand on the man's cheek "N-Narrator" the man then opened his eyes and looked down at Stanley "Stanley! You're alive!" he cheered, hugging Stanley tightly to his chest " I thought I'd lost you..." he sobbed. Stanley then attempted to get up but a huge piece of glass was wedged into the back of his leg, preventing him from standing up. "S-Stanley you're hurt...h-here" said the narrator before picking Stanley up bridal style and looking down nervously at him "so, where do we go now?" he asked "we need to find the nearest hospital for a start, can you see any towns or cities nearby?" The Narrator looked up and scanned the horizon, soon enough he spotted a row of buildings about afew kilometres from where they were standing "Yes, I can see afew buildings, it's going to take a while to get there however" "You don't have to carry me you know" Stanley tries to get down and stand up but ends up toppling over and falling on the ground "Do I Stanley, Do I?" He chuckled before picking Stanley back up and starting to walk towards the city.

After around an hour of walking the Narrator is exhausted and the sun is starting to dissapear over the horizon " Narrator, we should probably find a place to stay the night" suggested Stanley, the Narrator sighed but looked up to see a farmhouse not too far away "There's a farmhouse up ahead, we can ask the people there if we can stay there for a while" he said picking up his pace.

When they got to the front door of the farmhouse they were nervous but knocked on the door anyway, they could hear barking coming from inside before the door was opened and they were greeted by a man who's skin tone was unnaturally orange, he was also holding a small purple dog that seemed to be very interested in them "Can I help you?" he asked "O-Oh yes! My friend Stanley here is injured can you please help us!" pleaded the narrator, the orange man looked down to see Stanley's bleeding leg and rushed them both into the living room. The Narrator laid Stanley down on the couch and sat down next to him, just then a purple hued man walked through the doorway "Hey Sportsy, who was at the door?...oh, who are they?" he asked looking at them with a sort of glare "I don't know they just showed up but they need our help Dave!"  he then walked around the couch to see the blood trickling down Stanley's leg "oh shit! Imma grab the first aid kit!" he then cartwheels back out the door. " well this is going to be interesting" The Narrator thinks to himself "Don't mind Dave, he's just very protective...and unique" says the orange man chuckling "I'm Jack by the way, what's you name?" "I'm the Narrator"  he looks back at him confused "Narrator huh? that's a new one" he smiles, heading over to Stanley "Dave! you got the first aid kit!" he shouts before Dave jogs in through the door with a first aid kit in hand. "Ok, Stanley, we're gonna pull the glass out it's gonna hurt a fuckton but it has to be done ok." Stanley just nods his head as Jack grabs the piece of glass ready to pull it out with Dave by his side ready to bandage up the leg as soon as it's out "W-what can I do?!" asked the Narrator nervously "focus on moral support" replies Jack, The narrator then crouched down next to Stanley, Stanley then grabs his hand, giving him a worried look "I-it's gonna be ok Stanley" he says, gripping Stanley's hand tightly "okay! is everyone ready! 1, 2, 3!" on three, Jack yanks the piece of glass out of Stanley's leg, causing him to let out a terrible scream of pain, Dave then swiftly bandages up his leg before he loses too much blood. Tears stream down Stanley's cheeks as he whimpers in pain, the Narrator almost crying at the sight of him "I-it's alright Stanley, it's over now." he says as he lets out a sigh and wipes the tears from Stanley's face, at first the narrator doesn't understand why he was blushing until he realised what he just did and briskly let go of his hand to turn away and hide his own blush. He then gets up and walks over to Jack and Dave "Thank you so much! we don't know what we would've done without you" They both smiled at him and shook his hand "Y'know this guy really reminds me of a phone guy" Jack giggles at this "So, where did you guys come from?" asked Jack, the Narrator bit his lip "It's...complicated..."
