a/n: okay i saw this gif and 1) its so cute look at my baby boy david and 2) first thing i thought of is what if awkward baby david couldnt make a move and then this scenario came to mind and hopefully it turns out good!!!!

summary: david likes you but is too nervous to be alone with you or make a move, so alex joins one night to help david out.

It was common knowledge how David felt towards a certain special lady, you. Everyone knew about his feelings of affection towards you, except for you. On countless occasions, David was determined to come clean of all his feelings towards you. Of course, David chickened out the second he saw you every time. It began to get to the point where everyone in the vlog squad was over hearing about David gushing over you and beyond over him being all googly-eyed at you and your own obvious self. Everyone was aware of your feelings for one another, except for David and you. No matter how many times you were both told how obvious you two were into each other, neither of you believed it. The night had come for David to finally confide in you, and Alex made sure he would be there to ensure the execution of David's plan. For you, it was just an average date, with you third wheeling with the real couple, David and Alex.

David texted you earlier and asked if you wanted to go out to a fair with him and Alex. Obviously, you gladly accepted. He told you to be ready at nine p.m. and that he would pick you up. Currently, it was 8:47 p.m. and you were ready, laid out on your couch. You shoved your body up and looked over yourself in the mirror one more time. A pair of high waist jeans, tank top with a cardigan over top and a pair of vans was your outfit of choice. Looking yourself up and down, you nervously waited for a text from David. You looked over yourself one more time before a knock was heard on your door. Grabbing your bag, you rushed towards the door. One final deep breath and you opened the door open to see David standing there.

"Hi," you smiled, a little quietly.

"Hey," David responded, looking you up and down. His heart was racing and so was yours. "You ready?" he asked, looking down at you. You nodded, with a small smile. "Let's go," he smiled before you walked down the stairs towards your apartments exit. You and David made small talk and David told you about the crazy stuff that had happened today and you laughed.

"You know, you always have the craziest stories," you said, climbing into the passenger seat as David climbed into the front seat.

"You should come around more often, then you'll be able to tell them too," he grinned as he put the car in drive.

"I barely get any invites, so," you trailed off, looking towards David. Your tone was joking.

"Okay, well, here I am, giving you a permanent invitation!" David exclaimed, as he drove quickly.

"David, I was kidding," you laughed.

"Well, I'm not. You're always allowed to come over whenever," David warmly said. Little did you know, he was panicking. That was the closest he got to admitting his feelings for you.

"I'll keep that in mind," you added, right as you pulled up to Alex's apartment. He was already waiting on the in the parking garage. He climbed in quickly, grinning at the two of you.

"Hi, loveys!" Alex joking exclaimed. "Ready for some fair romance?" he exclaimed, causing you to gulp as David laughed, trying to mask his embarrassment.

"Oh yes! Third wheeling!" you squealed, with sarcasm, causing both boys to laugh.

"I love you, David," Alex said with fake emotion.
