You Smile I Smile [2]

[Ten years later]

"Gross Max!" I screeched with disgust at Max who was currently squirting my mom's home made noodles out his nose, if that was even possible.

"Your disgusting!" I continued my rant looking at his messy yet still handsome face.

"Shut up. You love me." Max mumbled still eating his noodles. I can't believe he's still eating that which partly came out of his nose. Yet I could never stay disgusted at him. He was handsome, cute, gorgeous, not to mention hot- oh stop it Rhylee!

"Unfotunately I do." I simply replied trying to forget my earlier thoughts about him being hot, cute- what the hell is wrong with me!

Though he never knew the 'love' I had for him was not the bestfriend type of love, but the cliche love type.

"Aww thanks Rhooroo." He cooed at me like I was four.

"I'm not a baby Max and stop calling me Rhooroo its as wierd as you." I retorted. I actually never wanted him to stop calling me pet names, but I didn't want him to know that.

Max and I were at my house on a Saturday morning eating breakfast. We were neighbors and our families were close so he was always welcome to our home.

"Kids can you help with the dishes. I'm a bit tired doing all the work." Mom called out from the kitchen. It wasn't actually a request but an order.

"She just wants to head to the mall and get her nails painted again." I muttered and my breath.

Max glared at me knowing my relationship with my mother wasn't going well.

I could easily decline though since Max was here and she wouldn't show her bad side on me in front of a family friend, but before I could say no, Max immediately covered my mouth with his palm knowing I would decline.

"Sure Mrs. Summers" Max politely replied.

"Oh thanks sweety." Mom said coming out of the kitchen with kindness to Max and unsuprisingly not to me. Obviously she knew I would've said no if it wasn't for Max.

"I'll go do some... errands and wont be back for a while." She said faltering at saying the word errand like thinking for the right word. With that she left. No goodbye, no goodbye kiss, no nothing.

"What a great mom I have." I sarcastically said. "-no wonder why dad left." I continued with venom lacing my every word.

Max was heading to the kitchen with his bowl of Mom's horrible noodles we both pretended to like.

"Why can't you just love your mom Rhylee, I mean at least you have a mom instead of having none at all." Max lectured

"Are you kidding? I'd rather have no mom at all than a mother like her!" I almost shouted. It wasn't a lie. I have always imagined myself with another mom and how better that would be for me. What if dad got remarried-

"You know I lost my mom Rhyles and it feel horrible not to have one."

"You can have mine for all I care."

"Since you can't stop talking about your undenying love for your mother," He sarcastically said "why don't we just stop talking about it and go watch some chick flick movies."

"Best idea I've heard all morning."

Tears sprang out of my eyes as the saddest part of the movie came to view on the tv screen. I grabbed on to something to blow my nose on and found a material made of cloth beside me and blew my nose on it not letting my eyes falter from the tv screen.

"Rhylee!" Max screemed beside me.

"What?!" I screemed back, angry at him for disturbing me and my moment. My eyes trailed down from his face to his shirt which is now smothered with my snot. I blushed crimson and muttered a low 'oh'.

"You owe me a new shirt."

"No I dont." I pressed on. " And besides my snot looks good on you." I replied turning back to the t.v.

"Oh really?"

The next thing I knew, a part of my tank top was covered with green sticky liquid.
Oh no he didnt- he did not just do that
"Oh don't worry, Rhylee, my snot looks good on you too." He said mocking my tone.

I gasped. This was my favorite tank top and he ruined it with his snot. I stood up and stormed in my room but before I could dramatically shut the door with a bang, I let him hear the words he would never want to hear come out of my mouth again after what I've got planned for him.

"Oh I'm gonna get you for this, Max, Im gonna get you good!"
