Well, that's exactly how Isai felt. He had powers but he didn't. He was a siphoner. He could take over your power, but other than that he was a regular human. He had powers for a minimal amount of time.
Unlike his sister Vanya, he wasn't excluded from the family, but if he had to be honest he kind of thought it would be better then to have to deal with their father. Just the classic case of the grass is greener situation.
He always felt lesser than on missions and training. The reason for that was because he wasn't strictly anything. He wasn't a human and he wasn't a complete super human like his siblings. He had to take someone else's talent to do it.
