(originally written June 11th, 2016)

Hazel Grace Lancaster, Margo Roth Speigleman, and Alaska Young.

You are some of the strongest women I have ever heard of, even as fictional characters, you each have taught me extremely important individual lessons that I will always remember, and I just wanted to thank all of you for some of the most valuable.

Hazel, you have taught me that everything is a side effect of dying and that I should accept the inevitability of death.
You taught me that it is okay to wear a dress on a normal day.
And you taught me that it is okay to let myself love. Even if a bad end is inevitable, I shouldn't deny myself the experience, the fleeting joy.

Margo, you have taught me that behind every great plan and every great prank there is a great person with a great mind.
You taught me that there are many uses for Vaseline.
And you have taught me that if I want something done I should do it myself. (But that it is also okay to ask for help.)

And finally,

Alaska Young,
You have taught me what might be the most important lesson I will ever learn,

Luck Is For Suckers.

So thank you ladies,
For everything.

Love Always,
Myia.
