"Mira, wake up."

"Huh?" I drowsily open my eyes to the deep voice to find a blur image of a now sober Laxus next to me. "*Yawn*, what time is it now?"

"It's past midnight. We really shouldn't be here."

Having wiped my eyes I get down he bar stool to stretch, but Laxus suddenly grabs my wrist and stares me in the eyes all serious. "You really didn't have to do that." He frowns. "You could've just waken me up."

"I'm sorry, but you just looked so peaceful in your sleep."

"Still..."

"I know you would've done the same for me, Laxus." My smile quickly erases his frown. Just like that he smiles back at me, which is extremely rare coming from the dragon slayer himself.

"Alright, but least you can do is let me walk you back to your apartment for the trouble, yeah?"

"Sure."

"Oh and one more thing," he scratches the back of his head, somewhat uneasy. "thanks..."
