I am from a nation of two great rivers

I am from a nation that has survived and is still surviving from civil wars, Boko Haram, economic and moral decadence, militancy, diseases, unemployment, poverty and the greatest of them all “corruption”

For 58 years plus, the fight against tribalism, sectionalism, and nepotism, still continuous

I am from a nation that struggles and through our many struggles we tell the rest of Africa that the giant has fallen.

I am from a nation were people are killed because of religion

I am from a nation were people are cheated because of state and language

I am from a nation were politics is a game of guns, knifes and death

I am from a nation were the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer

I am from a nation blessed with diverse natural resources but the leaders are highly gifted in theft
And mismanagement

I am from a nation that has more churches and mosques than schools and standard hospitals

I am from a nation that has produced 7 out of 10 of the world richest pastors, but why does their God not reflect in their country.

I am from a nation, a fallen nation
