"Yo, long time no see, Blake." Zero said while fixing his gloves and hopping off his bike. They just arrived at Ijekel's mansion after finishing a mission.
"So your also here, Zero. It's because of that rumour isn't it"
"Of course it is. Who would've thought that she escaped. I'm quite curious of his reaction"
"Let's just hurry inside." Another spoke while getting out of his Lamborghini and went straight to walk the stairs and enter the mansion.
"Not even a greeting? Cold as always Jack!" Blake shouted at him while following from behind.
A butler greeted them and led them towards the office of Raphael. They opened the door and he was there with his feet crossed on the table and his arms crossed, laying on his chest. He was sleeping on his chair. Slowly he opened his eyes and gave each of them a glare.
"Get out Sebas." He ordered his butler and fixed his posture.
"What're you doing here? Get out" he continued.
"Is that how you greet your friends after a year and a half without seeing each other?" Blake joked as he sat down with his arms wide open in the couch.
"Each of us just finished our missions so obviously we'll be returning back here, The HQ" Jack answered and laid flat on the couch while Zero just sat down.
"So where is she?" Zero asks with a smirk on his face while looking around the office . The question made Ijekel look at him with a question
"She who?" He asked.
"Evangelica, who else." Blake answered
"Heard she escaped" Jack continued
"You've been dumped, huh" and Zero joined in
"Poor ma-" they were cut off by the sudden knife that flew towards them. Raphael threw his throwing knives at them after hearing them bombard him.
"Damn"
"Shit"
"Fuck" all three said in unison while dodging the knife.
"Looks like all of you are getting rusty. That should've been easy to dodge." Raphael continued while twirling one knife on his finger.
"Shut. When it comes to you nothing is easy." All complained at his remark. Well who couldn't. When it comes to Raphael everything will look easy to him. The word super hard on your dictionary will be translated as easy in his vocabulary.
"Well no wonder she left you. You should learn... to... change... whil-" Blake paused after feeling a murderous aura and started to sweat while trying to hold back his gulp because if he did the blade in front of his neck would surely cut it.
"And you should also try to stop being a blabber mouth once in a while" Raphael slowly moved the knife from Blake's neck to his mouth.
"Ehe he he. I surrender" Was all he could say and was afraid that Raphael would want to cut his tongue
"Besides, I was the one that let her go" Raphael continued while removing his knife from his friend.
His remark made all of them widen their eyes and after a second they burst out laughing
"Pft hahaha, Please. If your going to make an excuse hahaha make it believable." Blake said in between his laughs while Jack and Zero nodded in response while laughing along with him
Raphael just sighed and didn't bother to listen to them any longer. He returned to his chair and laid his chin to his entwined fingers while looking at them with boredom. Just then his older brother, Felven Kiel Diavolo came in, he raised an eyebrow at the sight of the situation.
"What's this all about?" He asked
"hahaha Boss Kiel kyahaha did young master finally lost his mind after losing the love of his life? Hahaha" Blake continued while holding his stomach because of the pain the laughter caused
"Pft. Shit did his mentality finally break down? Hahaha" Zero remarked while trying to hold his laughter back. Jack has his hand covering his face and the other at his stomach while giggling
"Damn. You? Let go of her? Pft" Jack said and shook his head.
Kiel looked at his younger brother and raised his eyebrow at him making Raphael shrug his shoulders as response. Kiel sat on the sofa and crossed his legs, he looked at the trio that was still unable to stop their laughter and cleared his throat.
"Are you done" his stern voice made the trio immediately stop and fixed their postures
"Y-yeah" Blake stuttered while trying to hide his smile.
"So how did she escape? I'll start tracking her now" Jack asked and finally calmed down while bringing out his phone and started to tap on it
"There's no need to track her down" Kiel answered making the trio look at him and back to Ijekel.
"But if we don't young boss's mentality will really fall down" Blake gave out a worried tone making Raphael shot him with a glare.
"Its fine. Raphael really did let Evangelica go" Kiel finally conformed it for the trio. They couldn't believe it. Raphael kept her locked away from the world, afraid that she would escape. Afraid that the smallest thing would kill her.
Raphael loved her dearly that it made him bring out a characteristic and personality that they never knew existed in him. Heck the person himself doesn't even know it.
Blake cleared his throat. He wasn't prepared for that kind of answer. Evangelica was like the very elixir of life and the only remains of humanity to the Devil, without that elixir Raphael was brutal and a devil. She is the medicine for Raphael
"Why?" Was all they could ask after coming back to reality. They couldn't understand his reasons, he locked her for almost a decade so why let go of her now?
He gave them a smile, an amused smile to be exact. His eyes were becoming of like a tiger and spoke.
"To let her know that she has nowhere to go but me"
