Dear Diary,

Butler Mike informed me today. My parents are stuck at a meeting half way across the country, again. Why am I surprised? It's been like this for forever. They never came home for Christmas or New Year celebrations. They're not even here for my birthdays.

Everybody tells me that I'm so lucky that I have parents like them - the great Mathew and Linda De Carrie but they never knew the consequences of having famous and busy parents. Moms a pianist and she does a lot of concerts and Dads always too busy running the company that they seem to forget that they have a daughter waiting for them. I sometimes think that it's always my fault, that something is wrong with me. Thankfully I have Cole with me. In all that's missing in my life, Cole seems to fill them all with just a simple smile or a warm hug. At least he knows what I'm going through. At least he understands. We're no different from eachother after all.

I can't even imagine my life without Cole in it. I'd probably go die the minute he's out of my life. That's how important he is to me.

XOXO,

Trina J

Another day to flaunt yourself.

I looked at the mirror as I tried to focus on putting a hint of liquid mascara in my eyes. I dabbed pink lipstick on my lips and smacked it together causing a light sound. Inspecting myself, I knew I was ready for the party.

Mrs. Darcy, the wife of the man behind Falcon Industries, is having her 50th birthday tonight. Of course, my parents were invited being a close friend and all. Unfortunately, my parents couldn't attend because of some emergency with a client so I had to go alone. I'm actually used to this. I've been going to parties but before there was always my bestfriend who escorts me to these functions. Now, I have none but myself.

Looking at myself in the mirror, you will never believe that this girl was once afraid of socializing and crowds. In front of me stood a lovely girl with striking features in a simple cream tube gown and off white pumps. My hair was braided perfectly and my make-up done with such exquisite manner.

Indeed, I have come so far.

But I knew behind the perfect makeup lies a mask. A mask that will never be taken off for beneath it is a face of a heartbroken girl.

By the time that I arrived at the reception, it was already jam packed with people. Some are posing in front of the camera while others are drinking champagne while having conversations with eachother. The place is amazing. Everything is in white. The decorations, tables, stage, and even the carpet are all in the shade of pure white. White roses are on each table in a neat round form. Tree branches are in every corner, covered in white and some kind of lamps that gives a faint glow. It's a ballroom designed to look like a garden, a white garden, to be exact.

I smiled at the cameras as I sashayed through the ballroom. Eyes were on me as I confidently walked up to the birthday celebrant to give her my greetings.

"Mrs. Darcy, Happy Birthday." I told her while kissing her in each cheek. "This place is absolutely amazing."

She smiled at me and said, "Well, I'm glad you think so. I have to give my event planner a bonus, I guess."

I laughed. "Yes, you should."

"Well, darling, go along now and meet with your friends. Have fun."

I nodded and excused myself heading for the nearest table.

Not long afterwards, everyone was seated in their respective places. I was seated beside Anna - a girl who also studies in my school. We've had at least 4 classes together and I was in good terms with her so I was okay. The other person who was supposed to sit beside me was nowhere in sight and I was really hoping that she wasn't one of Mirandas' minions. I've had enough of them for one day.
