it was taehyung's birthday once again and jimin and jungkook again, like every other day, felt excited.

taehyung then decided to once again make a cake for the three of them. this time he shopped alone since the village guards were searching for the three of them. the village chief learned about them not having a guardian and wanted them to be sent to the orphanage.

the village chief probably wanted the best for them but they knew they were going to be separated in there so they'd rather not.

after a year together, the three just couldn't imagine a life without each other.

at first jimin wanted to be the one to go to the market, feeling like it was his responsibility as the eldest but taehyung reasoned that he wouldn't know what to buy and where to find it resulting to jimin sulking.

jungkook then tried to volunteer to go instead but it was quickly denied by taehyung as he was the youngest and the most popular among them.

he was popular among all of the children they played with before when they were not yet being searched. jimin and taehyung were popular too just not as popular as jungkook.jungkook was popular because he can ace almost every game in the village. jimin was popular because of his gentle brother-like image during playing with children older or younger than him. taehyung was popular not because he played with the other kids but because he was known as the beautiful friend of the talented jungkook and the gentle yet cheerful jimin.

it was decided that taehyung going to the market, leaving jimin and jungkook worried.

taehyung then wore the big black cloak which he received from minjae, a friend, on christmas.

he covered his face and headed out to buy the ingredients for the cake.

as he was walking he saw the village guards roaming around the market so he lowered his head. he went and quickly bought his ingredients and quickly left too. he was about to go into the path to their house but he noticed the village guards following him so he started to walk away. he noticed the village guards were still following him so he began to run. he ran and ran but the village guards weren't getting lost. he could feel his heart pounding loudly as the village guards became nearer and nearer.

then he was pulled.

a person, hands shaped like ones of a boy clamped his mouth tightly and pulled him to a corner that he didn't even notice before. he saw the village guards abruptly stopping seeing their target has vanished and slowly started to go forward and look for him.

seeing that the guards were gone, the boy released his hands from taehyung and spoke.

"sorry for touching your face. you might've screamed and that might've resulted to us being caught."

"anyways, i'm namjoon a ninety-four liner and you're probably taehyung right? a ninety-five liner?"

taehyung blinked once, twice and replied.

"um, yes, hyung?"

" no, no, no, no, no. please don't call me hyung i prefer to be called by my name or by a nickname."

"what's your nickname?"

"i don't know, it's up to you. make me a nickname."

"mhm, okay, i'll think about it. anyways, where do you live? i'd like to give you a token of gratitude."

"you don't have to besides i live nowhere in particular. i'm mostly in this corner though. but i'm planning on leaving this corner because i feel like it's overly used you know?"
