"Long before, when the skies were just stars, there was goddess of the name, Yuhwa. She had two children named Haesik and Daelim, they were the product of her lovee for a man which had died of old age. The children which were mortals were secrets from the whole world. Yuhwa was very beautiful but no other creature ever saw her more than once aside from her children.
One day, the goddess decided to visit her children. She walked at a hill and was mesmerized. The hills were adorned by various beautiful flowers and the goddess loved it.
Little did she know that contrast to the beautiful and innocent flowers, the hill was owned by a deceiving and ferocious white tiger. The white tiger saw Yuhwa and wanted her all for himself. The white tiger, Horam, wanted to deceive Yuhwa and kill her to be displayed in the forest so he approached her.
Yuhwa quickly backed away but seeing the kind look on the tiger led her to trust him. Horam treated her very kindly and gave her all sorts of flowers to bring home.
The goddess and the white tiger became friends. Yuhwa would always go to the hills before visiting her children. When Horam wanted her to stay she would always say she had to go so Horam asked where she goes. Yuhwa hesitated to tell her secret but Horam seemed trustworthy and she told him about her family.
Hearing this, the white tiger not only wanted to kill the goddess for display but also eat her children. So he attacked the goddess. The goddess caught of guard was killed by Horam. Yuhwa, before dying, prayed for herself to not be seen by anyone forever and for her children to be guided by the heavens.
Horam left Yuhwa in the forest displayed for everyone to see in the morning. Little did he know the goddess's wish was granted and she was turned into a willow tree.
Horam then brought flowers and went to Haesik and Daelim. He knocked and mimicked Yuhwa's sweet voice and almost fooled innocent Daelim but Haesik her wise older brother stopped her.
Horam then showed through under the door the flowers and the siblings opened the door since their mother was the only one to bring them the most beautiful flowers.
Opening the door, a whote tiger stumbled upon their sight and they ran. They ran outside, to the hills and to the willow tree (which was their mother).
Horam impatient started to chop down the tree but for some reason the tree was very hard to chop. The siblings then prayed to the heavens to send them a strong rope to heavens if they were worthy to escape the tiger and a rotten rope if they were not.
Their prayers were answered and they climbed up the rope which was strong.
Horam did the same and asked the heavens a rope to chase Haesik and Daelim. The heavens granted his wish but they sent down a rotten rope and in the middle of his climbing the rope broke and he fell onto his death.
Haesik and Daelim then became the Sun God and the Moon Goddess. Haesik being the Sun God and Daelim, the Moon Goddess.
The siblings had descendants and they were called Soleils, Lunes and the rare one, Éclipse.
