Chapter Six

"What do you mean you don't see them anymore?"

"After getting out the elevator I lost sight of them. They must be in a area where they don't have cameras."

"Did they get off on the first floor?"

"No that the thing they went down past the first floor so they must be in the basement."

"Damn it. Dylan stay where you are just in case Coalmen try to make a run for it. Glitch hurry your ass down here." If there isn't any cameras down then that mean they must do stuff down there they down want anyone to know or to see. I started to run down the stairs faster for I can't let them escape. "Billy we need a way down there beside the elevator. Do these stairs lead down there."

"No thoes stairs stop at the first floor, but there is another set in the server hallway."

As soon as I made it to the door that leads down to the basement I had a hand clenched down onto my shoulder. "I need to see you employee ID." The man behind me said in a deep voice. Great. I was about to spin around to knock this fucker out but before I could do it I felt him released my shoulder and fall to the floor.

"Don't you just love me?" Glitch said as he winked at me as he tucks his stun baton in his pants.

"No I wished they would of left your ass in jail. Now we can't just leave him laying here on the floor in the opening. So since you were the one to knock him out you get to move him while I stand watch."

"Or how about this. We can take him into the stair case with us. Why take up the time we could be using to chase after Coalmen to just hide a sleeping guard." I rolled my eyes at him.

"What ever, if he wakes up then he's your problem." I used the card I got from the security guard earlier to open the door to the stairwell. I held it open for Glitch to drag the guy into the stairwell with us. Once they were in I shut the door behind us.

"Hand me your belt." Glitch asked

"Hell no, he's your problem use yours." I look down at the guy on the ground. I look back up at Glitch and I raised one of my eyebrows. "Or you could just use his." 

"Are you guys serious, you don't have time for this. You need to hurry."

"Billy rigth, so stop playing around Glitch." With that being said I started my way down the stairs.

"I swear Drew I hate you so much." I turn around to see Glitch taking his belt off. He used his belt to tie the sleeping guard arms to the rail of the stairwell. So if he does wake up he won't be able to go anywhere. "See I told you we should of brought guns with us." Glitch pulls a gun out of the guys waistband. When I saw it I knew exactly why they went down to the basement.

"Billy is the basement sound proof!"

"I don't know, why?"

"They are luring us into a trap." And if they are planning to shot us. Lilith! I took of down the stairs for I can't let anyone die on my mission. If I let this happen I would be demoted, I work to hard to get where I am and I am not going to let a single mistake ruin this for me.

"Wait if it's a trap then why are we running towards it." Glitch said from behind me. When we got to the last step we both quiet down as we peered through the window in the door. It was dark but I could still see two figures guarding the door. We ducked down to make sure they won't see us in the window. I held up two fingers to Glitch to let him know how many there was.

"So are we just going to go out shooting?"

"This isn't a kill mission, but if they shoot first then we can so for now we must try to get them down with making any noise. We don't know how many of them are down here. So we must watch each other back to get out of here alive."

"No problem." Glitch pulls out his pocket knife and flips it open. I just shook my head at him, but I knew his idea will work the best.

"I go right you left." With that being said I quietly open the door, once it was cracked just enough Glitch threw his knife at the guy on the left. Once it made contact with the guy arm I took off at the guy on the right. Before he could realize what was going on I had him on the ground asleep. I got up from the ground to see Glitch's dude on the ground also. I took the tie off of my guy and tie his and the other guy hands together. Glitch took his guys tie and wrapped it on his knife wound so he wouldn't bleed out to much. Once we where done I took both of their guns. I stuck one in the back of my waistband and I held the other one in my hand.

We walked through the dark halls until I notice a person sitting in the middle of a dim lit room with a pillow case of their head. Once we got a little bit closer is when I notice it was girl. Lilith? The shirt she was wearing were cut open with a couple of cuts on her skin. I really hope this isn't her. 

"Lilith?" I started to keep walking. I did notice how quiet it was in here. Why did they leave her all alone. She is still alive I seen her left her head up when I called her name. "Glitch, watch my back." I left the cover of the hallway and I started to keep walking to the woman tied to a chair in a middle of the room. "Lilith?"

"No! It's a trap!" She called out in fear from under the pillow case. I seen someone far behind her jump out from behind a wall where he was hiding. His gun was already drawn and pointed at the back of her head. I had to act fast. I ran and knocked her to the ground while the bullet rip through the air above us. Glitch came out and shot him. More guys jump out of their hiding places and started shooting but Glitch being a semi pro at weapons and killing we manged to kill all of them. A bullet did graze my arm but I been shot enough that the pain wasn't that bad. I'm just lucky they didn't shoot the girl.

"Are you alright." I pull the chair up so I can untie her. After sitting her up I removed the pillow case. Half of me wished it wasn't Lilith, but I was wrong it was her. Just looking at her I felt so guilty. She looked so scared. "Glitch. Knife." I held my hand out until Glitch gave me his knife. Once I had it in my hand I moved the blade towards her and her eyes grew huge. "Hey its okay. I'm just going to cut these ropes." She sat there calm as I cut the ropes so I could get her out of here. Once I was done I gave Glitch back his knife because I know he will have a fit if I didn't give it back to him.

Once I freed Lilith from het rope I stood back up as I looked around the room. Coalmen came down here but where could he be. While I was think about where Coalmen could of gone. I notice Lilith falling forward. I caught her before she could hit the floor. "Looks like you hit you head pretty good." Fuck that was my fault. "Maybe if someone didn't go around tackling people." Glitch continue to say.

"Shut up, Glitch." I already know, he didn't have to kept talking about it. I look down at Lilith and immediately I looked away. She has to cover up. I took off the jacket I had on and I gave it to her. Now that she is fine I can get back to my mission. "I'm going after Coalmen." With that being said I took off down another hallway where most of the guards were standing.
