Hearing Todoroki mutter those simple words out of his mouth surprised Deku, it left him speechless. A couple awkward seconds passed by before that sentence finally hit him, and his face flushed into a very light pink. The green haired child looked back into his warm cup not knowing how to respond to such a forward and unexpected question.
"Are you okay?" Todoroki asked with a hint of worry,
"Oh, uh.. Yeah.. I just didn't expect you to ask me something like that,"
Todoroki smiled at him with relief before sighing. "So, your answer?" He peered curiously back at the innocent boy. Deku opened his mouth yet nothing came out, not knowing how to put his thoughts into words. His face had remnants of embarrassment still staring at the hot cocoa before a voice finally exited his mouth.
"The thing is, I've never dated before, and don't know how too-"
Todoroki's face lit up with a bit of hope. "So if I teach you how to date, will you be mine?"
When Deku went silent with his face a redder hue than before, Todoroki smiled and kissed him on the cheek, "I'll take that as a yes." before wrapping a blanket onto his shoulder. Deku smiled, still embarrassed as he hid his face into Todoroki's blanket, even smelling like him.
After he cooled down a bit and his face stopped looking like a literal cherry, he looked back at Todoroki with averting eyes. "So is this what lovers do?" Todoroki delightfully smiled at him before giving a curt nod. "There's more, but I think you're too innocent for that..-" He awkwardly mumbled before Deku jumped a little bit with curious written all over his face. "Like what? I know they hold hands, hug, hang out, kiss, and-" Deku's face went a solid shade of red before realizing what Todoroki meant by him being 'too innocent'.
