~John's pov~
"Hey" Peggy said with a smile as she set her food down and sat beside me. "Hey" I replied smiling back up at her. I missed her, I know it's stupid but I haven't seen her for the last two periods and she was my best friend. "What did you get in the essay?" I asked. "Eh, not important, but you, what did you get?" She almost spat back at me. "A solid A+" We high five as she takes a sip of Pepsi. "How did Alex take it?" "I don't know, probably not well." I sigh. "Why do you like him?" Oh no, here it comes. "He's a complete asshole, and somehow, your attracted to him."
I rolled my eyes. She didn't understand. She couldn't. Everything about him was perfect; his lovely violet blue eyes, his auburn hair, his complexion, pale, but his cheeks still so rosy. It wasn't just how he looked either, it was his personality, he was extremely smart, hilarious, and quite kind. The only person I wanted to be with was him.
"Can we just move on to another topic" I ask shrilly. "Fine." Peggy sighed moving onto a different conversation topic.~Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette's pov~
I heard the doorbell ring and rushed down stairs as quick as possible knowing that it was my boyfriend, Hercules Mulligan. We had only gotten together a month ago but we had been friends for so long before that it almost felt weird spending time together without Alexander.
I pulled the door open to see my beautiful boyfriend smiling-with two other people behind him. Damn it. I thought it would be just us today. "Bonjour" I'm interrupted by Hercules, but it really doesn't matter as I have nothing else to say. "I'm sorry Laf, Alex was alone and so was Aaron, I hope it's okay" "No, no it's okay, s'il vous plaît, entrez" the three boys walked in, took off their shoes and followed me to my bedroom, usually my parents would be on my case if I let two other people come in without their permission first, but they were out of town for the next day and a half so it didn't really matter.
We didn't do much for the hour and a half they were over besides discussing certain things at school and making stupid jokes about those things. It was extremely weird for the most part because Alexander was quiet, and everyone knows Alexander Hamilton is never quiet. So I brought up his favourite topic to talk about-or rather complain about, but I was sure it would work.
"Alexander, have you seen John recently" I say trying to repress a smirk, Herc is doing the same, and Burr has no idea what any of this means, but Alexander just seems, odd. He glares at me but doesn't say a word. Aaron changes the subject quickly to something about what one of the Schuyler sisters had said earlier that day, bit all I can think about is what's going through Alexander's mind at the moment.
