The Adventure Kids first ever Mystery with Scooby Doo

Chapter 5

Back at the hotel, the gang came into the lobby where they found Emile Mondavarious soon walking up to them. 

"Ah, Mystery Inc. You all seem rather cheery" Mondavarious smiled as he came over to them. "Good news, I hope?"

"Mr. Mononucleosis?" Fred looked to him. The adventure kids covered their mouths, hiding snickers since Fred got the name wrong. 

Emile looked annoyed that Fred got his name wrong, but allowed him to continue. "Yes?"

"We have hit a clue smorgasbord" Fred said, while Velma showed the pyramid Daphne and Cynthia had found earlier. 

"We have three suspects as to who's behind this evil hooty" Jane added. 

"That's right" the adventure kids nodded while Shaggy and the twins put up three fingers for emphasis. 

"N'Goo Tuana" Velma started with the first suspect. "He believes your theme park's built on enchanted ground"

"The voodoo man, who shrewdly tricked me into going to the castle" Daphne added. 

"And you..." David pointed to Mondavarious, which made the man look shocked. 

"Alright gang, let's split up. We'll meet back here in a half-hour" Fred told the gang. "I'll interview employees to see if they've noticed anything odd" 

"You got it, Fred" Walter said. "We'll search around the hotel for anything suspicious" 

"I'm gonna get to work translating these inscriptions that Daphne and Cynthia found" Velma added, holding the pyramid.  

"I'll go research cults on the Net" Daphne said. 

"And I'll help you" Jane told Daphne. The three girls then high-fived and headed off in their own directions. 

"I'm a suspect?" Mondavarious asked the mystery gang in surprise. 

"Don't take it personally" Cynthia told him. 

"It's because you creep me out" Fred explained apologetically then walked off. 

"Oh, I see" Mondavarious understood. 

"Come on, Scooby" Kali called to the great dane. 

"Rokay!" Scooby walked with Walter and the adventure kids around the hotel, checking for any suspicious activity.  

Scooby sniffed around, getting distracted by something and headed over to a nearby window. 

"Hey, Dad?" Kali asked. 

Walter turned around to face his daughter. "Yes, Kali. What is it?" he asked her. 

"Whatever happened with Scrappy?" the curious tomboy asked, mentioning about Scooby's nephew. 

"Who's Scrappy?" Teeders, David and Cynthia asked, not knowing anything about him before.

Walter decided to stop the searching for a minute and brought the kids over to sit down by one of the lobby's couches. The adventure kids got comfortable as Walter was about to tell them a story. 

"Really focusing on a mystery now reminds me of the good old days..." Walter began telling the kids, sighing in memory as he thought back to the times he and the mystery gang were still in high school. "We were quite a crew back then.. more like a family. And I gotta say, they were the best times of all our lives"

"Shaggy and Scooby... what goofballs... kind of like they are today. Velma... she's the smartest girl I know. She even taught me how to fashion a particle accelerator out of a broken hair dryer and a four-slice toaster oven. Daphne, she was so beautiful, but not as beautiful as your mom of course. But she was the coolest girl at Coolsville High. And Fred, he was so handsome. And he really knew how to accessorize"
