Meanwhile, poor Scooby was trapped in the same place where the Daemon Ritus was before. The cage doors soon opened up, and Scooby looked scared once Tauna came in.

"Hello, puppy" he greeted.

Back on the beach~

"So if the person behind all this needs Scooby Doo..." Teeders started.

"Then that person is the one who brought Scooby here!" Cynthia concluded.

"But that means..." David said in a horrible realization.

The gang had put together the final piece of the puzzle at to who was behind this mystery, the owner of Spooky Island himself... Emile Mondavarious!

"Of course!" Jane said, realizing. "It all makes sense now!"

"Scooby's... the pure one?" the twins, David and Teeders all asked out of disbelief.

"Oh, please" Cynthia scoffed. "The only thing pure about that dog is his appetite"

"But if Mondorajagaga wanted Scooby, why'd he invite the rest of us?" Fred asked, confused in a frustrated manner.

"It doesn't matter. We gotta, like, go save Scoob!" Shaggy told the gang.

"I'm with you, Uncle Shaggy!" Kali said, determined and didn't even hesitate to follow after him.

"Us too!" the twins added as they started walking off down the beach, but were stopped by Fred and the others.

"Shag, our area of expertise is nut jobs in Halloween costumes" Fred reminded, indicating that this was one big of a mystery that would be impossible for them to complete.

"He's got a point, you know" Teeders had to agree.

"Besides, you guys saw what those monsters could do" David added. "We don't stand a chance against them!"

"Yeah, let's face it! We're doomed!" Cynthia told the gang, already giving up.

Kali came back up to the gang, turning to talk to her dad specifically.

"Dad, out of all the stories you've told me, my favorite one's about a gang of five friends and their dog solving mysteries together. And what I liked about those stories the most was how they'd always save the day, cause their friendship pulled them through no matter what..." the spirited tomboy explained. "And from then on, I've wanted to solve my own mysteries and be just like them... Because I believed in them... I believe in each and every one of them..."

The Mystery Inc gang, including Walter, felt touched on the adventure girl's words, but also ashamed at how they let their fighting get in the way and nearly tear apart their friendship.

"Like, Kali's right" Shaggy now sounded like the mature one for once. "We're supposed to be heroes, man"

The gang and adventure kids all looked to Shaggy.

"So I'm gonna do what I always do..." Shaggy took out a Scooby Snack from Daphne's purse. "I'm gonna eat myself a Scooby Snack and save my best pal!"

Walter then turned to the Mystery Inc gang, smiling at them. "Hey..." he asked his friends, who then looked at him. "Remember what always got us to solve every mystery we've ever done?..."

The gang merely looked to their friend, not saying anything.

"...Teamwork" Walter told them.

Fred, Daphne and Velma remained silent while they thought this through.

"Velmster?" Fred asked, looking to the brains of the team.

"You think I'm gonna fall for that?" Velma looked to him. "Giving me my own nickname? Trying to make me feel like... Part of the gang?..."
