Ajussi: Kook guy, it's Pumpkin's birthday.

-AUTHOR's POV-

Jungkook: Her what!?

Jungkook was surprised to hear that. Not only he was surprised, he was also disappointed as his wife didn't tell it to him herself that it was her birthday.

Ajussi: It's already 12:45 which means it's now 12 March. Didn't you know 12 March is her birthday?
Jungkook: B-but she didn't tell me anything.

Ajussi: I thought so. Even we wouldn't know if it wasn't for that night.
Jungkook: What night?

Ajussi: Oh... It's about that night when we knew it was her birthday. That girl came here at midnight, with a small cake in her hands, she was 14 then. She went to her mother's grave, cut the cake and stayed the whole night there. Next morning, Rishi found her sleeping there, he said may be she had been crying as her bangs was sticked with tears. But she wouldn't tell us why she came and stayed  until Christiana made her speak.

He paused. As if he was thinking again, then spoke.

Ajussi: She said crying, her father doesn't let her go out on her birthday. He makes her stay at home and do chores. She never celebrated her birthday after her mother died. We felt bad for the poor girl, so every year we would celebrate her birthday. She would sneak out of her house at night, when her father and brother slept and we would celebrate.

Jungkook feel silent, looking down. He couldn't understand what that old man who was her father had problem with her. He couldn't understand his cruelty.

Y/N: Jungkook!

He looked up, saw her coming towards him.

Y/N: Did you had dinner?

He just silently shook his head, eyes never leaving her face. He found a glow on her face. "She's very happy." Without thinking his lips curved upwards.

Y/N: Why are you smiling at me like that?

Y/N looked at him weirdly. Was it her face or his heart, he didn't know. But all he knew he was deep drunk in live with the girl in front of her who is legally his wife.

Y/N: Hey! Are you there?

She asked, bringing him back from his world of thoughts. She slightly titled her head, he found her cute when she did that. He asked mimicking her action.

Jungkook: What's wrong?

A small smile still playing on his lips. Why was he smiling again? He didn't know himself.

Y/N: You have some mosquito bites on your face. Were you out for too long?

He was surprised. He didn't even know he had mosquito bites. Touching his face he realised indeed there was mosquito bites.

Jungkook: Oh.. My car broke on the way. So I had to walk till here leaving it there.

She looked shocked.

Y/N: Are you crazy?! If it broke then you should've called for a mechanic and repaired it! You shouldn't have walked till here! It's dangerous at this hour to walk this far, that also out of the town!!
