Chapter 11

I looked and checked on my planner to know when can I take my friend out on a date so I can tell him something important. We do see each other every day here at work but it's not an appropriate place to talk about my love life.

Lloyd is my super bestfriend and I don't want him to think that I am hiding things from him just because I don't trust him. Ayoko siyang magtampo dahil lang sa love life ko na hindi ko pa nasasabi sa kanya.

Alam ko naman na malakas na ang pakiramdam niya tungkol dito at gusto ko na sa akin niya malaman kaysa sa iba niya pa ito marinig.

"Christine?" I called.

"Yes, Ma'am?" Silip niya sa aking opisina.

I am leaving my sliding door open and the blinds up sometimes when I am not busy so that I can see my employees outside and that they could feel that they are welcome in my office if ever they need my help or anything at all.

"Can you give me my schedule for this week and the next? I will just update mine." I smiled.

Siya ang may hawak ng schedule ko sa trabaho for my meetings and other work related stuffs. It's part of her job description and I don't have any problem with her handling it because she is efficient and organized.

In work, hindi ako masyadong nagugulo ni Warayne except for those once a week intervention of sweets that he is sending me. Sa gym, alam niya rin na seryoso ako sa pagwo-workout at saktong timing lang ang pangungulit niya. And dinner dates with him are my favorite because we get to go to different restaurants every time to try different kinds of foods.

I found one vacant Saturday on my planner and that is next week. I don't have work and a date that day so I can ask my friend out. Napaisip pa ako kung bakit wala kaming lakad ni Warayne sa araw na iyon, lahat kasi ng Sabado at iilang Linggo sa planner ko na ito ay sinulatan na niya ng kanyang initials na may kasama pang pirma.

Pag-angat ko ng tingin ay agad kong nakita sa labas ang aking kaibigan na naglalakad at mukhang papunta sa aking opisina. Sakto naman na nag-ring ang aking phone kaya mas lalong lumapad ang aking ngiti nang makita ang pangalang 'Digmaan'.

"Digmaan calling." I answered with a big smile on my face.

"Kapayapaan answered." He chuckled.

Lloyd knocked on my door and I rolled my eyes at him. He never asked for my approval first before he gets into my office, hurahurada lagi siyang pumapasok na akala mo ay siya ang boss.

"Are you busy?" Warayne asked making me focus on him again.

Gumilid ako ng kaunti para makausap siya ng mas maayos. Lloyd's piercing eyes is on me and I don't want to get distracted while talking to Warayne. I'll deal with him later.

"No, not really. Why?"

"I hope that you are free on Saturday."

"We have a da- dinner. Right?" I answered after quickly glancing at my friend who is busy reading a magazine.

"Not this Saturday. Next Saturday."

"Uh...." I hesitated a bit and glanced at my friend again.

Tinaasan niya lang ako ng kilay kaya gumilid na ulit ako. Kunwari pang nagbabasa pero halata naman na nakikinig sa usapan naming ni Warayne, though hindi pa naman niya alam kung sino ang kausap ko ngayon.

"Yes, Chelsea. Let him in." I heard him say. "I'll tell you about it tomorrow, okay? I just want to block your Saturday hoping that you are still free, but I do want to tell you about it personally." He addressed me this time.
