Sigh

I had never thought I'd be so sad about leaving home, I really can't believe moving out was on my bucket list. I texted Noah what time he would pick me up and not by any surprise he didn't answer. He usually shows up whenever he feels like it.

A soft knock came from my bedroom door "yes" I yelled for the person to enter and surprisingly it was my father, he never came up to our rooms so I definitely knew he wanted to either 1. Scold me 2. Blackmail me or 3. Tell me to do something that is going to benefit himself

"How can I help you" I formally asked putting my neatly packed bags on my bed. He looked at me for a while before he spoke "I need you not to screw this up Lerato" I fought back an eye roll

"This is so easy for you isn't it ? Just make a few demands and everyone follows?" I said crossing my arms as I spoke

"Watch how you speak to me, I'm still your father young lady" he said stepping out of my room

"Are you ? Are you really though ?" I asked him before he could close the door, he heard me and stared at me for a while before he closed the door completely.

As I went down stairs the more I realized I wasn't ready to leave home, I need a way to stall moving out of here. I said to myself as I was walking up and down in my living room hoping that in the steps I take an idea would quickly. One would think that I'm nervous but honestly nerves are the last thing on my mind right now

"Honey, have you got all your bags ? Noah said he'll be here in about ten minutes" my mother said. So he could call my mother and not call me ? This marriage is definitely going to be a nightmare

"Lerato !" My mother gasped "where is your ring ?!" I looked at my ring finger and noticed I had forgot to put it on

"It's up in my room mom, I'll go get it" I ran up the stairs to my bathroom sink and put the ring on. It is really gorgeous and I can't help but think how happy I would've been if I was getting married to a man I love.

As I walked out of my bathroom a thought hit my head

It hit me so fast I couldn't believe it. The proper procedures haven't been followed ! this plan was the perfect way to get on my fathers nerves and stall me having to leave home.

I jumped up and down in excitement doing a dance that is foreign to my body. After catching my breath from that intense workout dance I picked up my cellphone and dialed his number, it took a few rings before he answered. "Molo mtshana" he greeted in his thick African voice (hello niece)

"Molo malume" I greeted while I evilly smirked (hello uncle)
