~3rd POV~

Toca was feeling relaxed on this certain day, or should I say evening for the moon was out, for no exact reason. Usually, Toca would be more alert and aware of her surroundings, but today that just wasn't the case. Toca was baking in the kitchen, supposedly her roommates were all out, except for Galactic who was supposed to be taking a nap so Toca didn't have anything to fear.

Toca wasn't wearing her eye patch, which once her eye was adjusted she didn't really need, but she didn't want to get her already damaged eye even more damaged so she usually kept the eyepatch on, except for when she was alone.

Toca was quietly singing one of her favorite showtunes as she baked. Toca was baking a cake, not for any special occasion, just to surprise her roommates and give them a nice treat. Toca was still quietly singing to herself, "Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, how do you measure, measure a year?".

"In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.". Toca was self conscious about her eye and her singing, but she thought she was alone so she thought she was safe.

Toca was wrong. Galactic had woken up from her nap, changed out of her PJs and into some regular house clothes. Galactic heard noise, ever so quiet noise, and she thought it was Toca but she couldn't make out what she was saying. "Is she on the phone with someone, like Madness or Sweetie?" Galactic thought to herself. "Well, there's only one way to find out."

Galactic opened her door quietly and didn't bother to shut it, tip toeing as she walked towards the living room/kitchen the apartment had. As Galactic got closer, she could hear more clearly what Toca was saying, or singing as I should say.

"Five hundred twenty-five thousand journeys to plan, Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?"

Galactic knew she should be listening into Toca singing, like some weird stalker, but she liked Toca's singing. Galactic decided to not be such a stalker, and walked into the kitchen/living room area.

"Hey, Kitten." Galactic said and Toca slightly jumped, but not a too noticeable amount. Toca was too scared to turn around, since she didn't have her eyepatch on. "Hey, Gal." Toca responded.

Galactic walked over to Toca and stood next to her as she stirred cake mix in a bowl. "Whatcha making?" Galactic asked. "A cake." Toca responded, not looking away from stirring to face her girlfriend. "Everything alright, Toca?" Gal asked, noticing there was a sense of worry etched in Toca's expression.

Toca sighed and stopped stirring, putting the spoon she was using down and facing Galactic. "I'm just.... Not used to not having my eye covered around other people.." Toca said. Galactic put a hand on the side of Toca's face, Toca not minding the touch until Gal got close to where her scar was. Toca shrink back a little, taking a small step back. Galactic moved her hand away slightly.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have even--" Toca interrupted her "N-No, you're not in the wrong here, I just wasn't expecting it is all. I do enjoy your contact." Toca said and Galactic cracked a small smile. Toca smiled as well, and gave Galactic a quick kiss before pulling away.

"Are you gonna finish making that cake, or are you just gonna let it go bad?" Galactic asked and Toca chuckled. "I suppose I should finish it before Mad and Sweetie get back.".
