Author's POV
It was gloomy at the hospital. Jae Hoon walked slowly while carrying little Rae Na followed by Min Gook. Jae Hoon just found out that his son was already gone during surgery operation because of brain damage. He can not be saved. Meanwhile,Risa was transfered in a private ward room,already stabilized but still in critical condition. She did not have much time. It was devastated to hear about his son's death,now her beloved daughter in law was fighting every second of her life to live. He almost fainted when he heard the news. He did not know how many times he cried during that time. He opened the door slowly and saw Risa was lying helplessly with wounds were all over her body.
Jae Hee's heart felt pain and broken at the moment but he need to gather his strength so that Risa could see his face and Rae Na's at her last moment without tears.
"Risa dear,daddy's here..Rae Na is here too.."said Jae Hoon. Jae Hoon put down Rae Na and she walked towards her mom and holding one of her fingers.
"Mommy,mommy..are you okay?"asked Rae Na. She looked puzzled but she was happy to see her mom.
"Happy birthday,Rae Na..here..take this..mommy and daddy want you to have it.." Risa gathered her strength and took out slowly something shining from her jeans pocket. It was a white gold locket with small love locket carved with a letter 'R'.
Rae Na took it and said,"Mommy,lets go home..we need to fetch daddy after this.."
Jae Hoon can not take this anymore. He could not bear to see a heartbroken moment at that time. Poor Rae Na. She was still clueless about what happened.
Risa patted Rae Na's head and kissed both her little hands. She knew it will be the last moment she ever spent with her daughter.
Risa looked at her father with heavy feelings and said,"Daddy,I'm so sorry..please take care of my Rae Na..keep her safe..I'm sorry.." she sobbed.
"Shhhh...don't be..I'll take care of her..I promise..I'm sorry you have to go through this.." Jae Hoon said while holding her hands. He could not let her go.
"Mommy loves you so much.." she said and slowly her eyes were closing. Jae Hoon knew that she was gone and cried with all of his heart. Min Gook was looking with a sad heart. He looked at Rae Na who was standing quietly beside her grandpa,as if she knew that her mom was just gone.
