Why did I fall for that bitch?

I should have known from the beginning that she was cheating on me behind her back.  Now I am outside camp.

No Riptide.

Nothing to protect me. I am going to see the Olympus gods soon. You may ask,  what about Paul and my mother. Well, it seems to me that,  they hate me. It was so sudden.

She called me a monster. She called me a demon. She told me she should not have given birth to me.

Is this how a mother should act to her son?

That was not the mother I knew, that was not Sally Jackson.

I lean onto a valley wall as I sighed and flashbacks started playing in my mind.

FlashBack starts:

I was walking happily to the beach where I know Annabeth will be at now from the information by the campers, though they gave me a look of sadness, some even gave me looks of disgust. I shook it off.

I have the velvet box ready. Inside was a ring with αιώνιος, it means 'Eternal'.Yes,  I was going to propose to my Wise girl today.

I was looking forward to meeting her.  But when I got there, I saw a scene that breaks my heart.  Annabeth was currently kissing my half-brother,  Jaden Luckson. He came to camp a week ago.

"But what about Percy?"Jaden asked as he looked at my once Wise girl.

"Oh him?  I never really had any interest in him. He was famous so I stick by him.  But I have you now,  I don't need that piece of trash."Annabeth's words stabbed at my heart.

I quickly run away and kept the velvet box in my pocket. I cried and cried until I reached a rock, I quickly chanted a spell before plunging Riptide inside.

"I am sorry. You need to wait for another owner who is courageous,  you do not need me anymore. Goodbye Riptide."It was weird that I was talking to a sword. But we are talking about Riptide,  that has defended me from harm.

I know it was stupid. But I am getting out of here, no riptide but just me. I can't go back home to my mom too. Because I know she hates me.

As I was about to walk past the border, I heard someone turned around and saw Nico running towards me.

"Are you leaving, without telling anybody?"I just gave him a silent nod.

"But-"Before he could say another word, I put my finger on his lips and shook my head.

"Thank you for caring,  Nico, "I said sadly as Nico looked pained as he helplessly kept his hands by his side and nodded while biting his lips.

"P-Percy,  I still love you."My eyes widened at the confession. I saw his pale cheeks getting cherry red.

"I know it is not the best time but I already forgive you for the Bianca situation.  I know you are going away and leaving but I just want to say it out loud."Nico looked down at his feet.

"Will you love me, even if I am dead?"I asked him and Nico nodded almost immediately which made me smile.

I took out the velvet box and took out the two rings. I gently grabbed his left hand and put it on his fourth finger.  Nico seems surprised by my action.
