"I heard there's going to be a beach party here tonight." Niall said out of the blue.

"Really?"

"I'd like to go."

"Me too. But you have to be careful with your leg."

Niall had hurt his knee a few days earlier when he tried to jumped over a low stone wall and tripped.

"That's fine I can just sit by the bar or something. But is that a yes?"

"At least from me, and I think I know what the other lads will say as well." I twinkled.

Niall look satisfied, finally he would have the chance to experience Los Angeles. It couldn't have been fun to lay inside the hotel room all the time. He deserved this. I noticed Niall's nose was turning a slighty red colour. The tube with the sunscreen was laying at the bottom of the beach bag but I found it pretty fast and squeezed out a click in my palm.

"Come here."

I leaned closer to him and gently rubbed the sunscreen on his nose. Niall laughed and said it tickled. The sun shone on his blonde hair and almost made it look white. I had to squint because of how bright it was. In the corner of my eye I saw Harry trip over a child's abandoned sandcastle and fall head first. Niall had also seen the fall and burst out in that amazing laugh of his. His laughter was heard all over the beach and I was laughing so hard no sound came out at all. At last I felt like I had to run over to Harry to see if he was alright.

"Are you okay?" I managed to say between my outbursts of laughter. "Sorry I'm... Are you hurt?" I put my hand over my mouth to hold back the laughter.

"Very funny." Harry answered sarcastically.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry..." Harry got up and brushed the sand of his swimming shorts.

"They should put up a warning sign for abandoned sandcastles."

My stomach cramped up from laughter. I had to sit down. Slowly I sunk down in the hot sand.

"God you have to breathe!" Harry laughed.

It took a while before I could breathe normally again. Harry helped me up on my feet. My whole body was covered in sand. Harry suggested a swim in the ocean to get rid of all the grains of sand. Hand in hand we ran over the beach down to the water. The waves slammed against the shore and the salt sprinkled up in our faces. The water was just enough warm and I was quick to dive in. Harry was a bit slower but he dived in pretty fast as well. My face made it through the surface and I felt the salt on my lips. My hair glued itself all over my eyes and I had to wipe it away to be able to see. When I had got it out of the way I noticed how Harry was staring at me. He looked like he just seen my hair flip in some kind of slow motion. The right corner of his mouth was high up and he smiled wryly.

"Man you're hot. I swear the sun is jealous."

Wow what a pick up line. I didn't really know how to answer, so I decided to reply to his pick up line with another one.

"I can swim, but in your eyes I drown."

I pretended to splash around in the water like I didn't know how to swim. Harry came quickly to my "rescue".

"I got you babe."

Harry lifted me up in his arms. I looked into his green eyes, whose color was enhanced even more by the surrounding turquoise ocean. His perfect row of teeth became visible.

"So..." I started. "There's going to be a beach party here tonight. As you just saved my life, would you like to be my date?" I joked.

"A beach party? As your date? Hmm I'll have to consider that..."

I gave him a light slap on the cheek for teasing me.

"No reason to be violent!" Harry exclaimed responsibly. "Okay fine I'll be your date!"
