#Niall’s POV:

‘Cal!’ I called, as I watched her walk away. She turned around. ‘Have I told you how beautiful you are?’ I saw her giggle and look down as she turned. I watched the corner long after Cal had disappeared behind it.

I mentally kicked myself for not asking for her number or address or something!

What is wrong with you man? I asked myself, walking back through the fields to the motel. I stopped where I had sat and watched Cal sleep by the riverbank. I smiled at the thought of her peaceful face as she slept. I had hardly breathed because I didn’t want to wake her up.

I started walking, still looking at the spot on the bank, when something glinted in the grass. I frowned, walking towards where I’d seen it. I bent down, and picked up what looked like an earring. It was a cross with a Topaz stone in the middle. I smiled, that must be her birthstone, I thought. Now I had a great excuse to find her.

I knew her general area, she wasn’t lost forever, I thought.

I wanted Cal and I to be friends, good friends. I really liked her, but I couldn’t tell if I felt more than that after knowing her for 24 hours. I remembered how I’d felt after saving her camera in the crowed the day before. I so wanted to see those beautiful teal eyes again.

As I walked into my room, I noticed Harry was on my laptop at the desk.

‘Yeah sure, go ahead, I don’t mind.’ I said, kicking off my shoes and play-punching Harry.

‘Thanks,’ he mumbled, distantly, not noticing my joke.

‘What you doing on it anyway?’ I asked, jumping on the bed.

‘Finding Cal on Facebook.’ He said, typing something.

Part of me thought, Why didn’t I think of that? And another part thought, Why would Harry be interested in getting in touch with Cal? I pushed that thought aside and went over to see what he’d found.

‘Got her!’ He cried, punching the air.

I leant over his shoulder, seeing a profile picture of Cal, her big blue eyes looking up into the camera, smiling her toothy smile with a pink Lilly in her Auburn hair.

‘Woah.’ Said Harry, adding her as a friend on his private Facebook account.

‘What?’ I said, hoping he wasn’t thinking the same thing I was about Cal’s eyes and freckles.

‘She’s… wow.’ He clicked ‘Message’ and typed “Hey there beautiful! ;)’

‘Harry!’ I said loudly, smacking his head.

‘Ow! Okay, sorry,’ he deleted the winky face and clicked send.

‘That wasn’t what I meant, but too late now.’ I growled.

Harry turned with a knowing but cheeky look on his face.

‘I think someone has a massive crush!’ he sung, teasingly.

My face went pink, giving a lot away, so I turned towards the bathroom, hoping he hadn’t noticed anything.

‘Do not.’ I said, as convincingly as I could. ‘Not on Cal if that’s what you mean.’

He laughed ‘Yeah? Well then you won’t mind if I um, ask her to dinner tomorrow night?’

Blood rushed to my head as I got to the bathroom door. I hoped to god he was just doing this to wind me up.

‘She’s busy tomorrow night,’ I said, a smirk on my face.

‘Oh yeah, what’s she doing?’ he said, thinking he was going to win.

‘Seeing me.’ I called as I closed the bathroom door. Take that Mr Styles.
