The Doctor sprinted back down the corridor hapilly. The lights were dim and flickered- the power was critically low. She reached into her pocket and drew out a variety of peculiar artifacts from her adventures including a yo-yo, magnifying glass and some credits before finally drawing out her sonic screwdriver. The Doctor intended to reroute the wiring to the TARDIS to recharge the generators. She used her sonic to unscrew the glass casing around the cables. It was very rare for the Doctor to use her screwdriver for its original purpose. Once the casing was off she began tinkering with the cables. She skipped into the TARDIS and came out with a long rubber cable and connected it to the wall circuitry. The lights switched off and back on again, this time much brighter and instead of a harsh white they shone yellow-gold like the TARDIS interior.
“At least the lighting’s sorted, I hope the King doesn't mind a bit of redecorating.”
The Doctor checked the TARDIS scanner and suddenly realised where she was exactly. This wasn't any old base, this was a giant underwater complex.
