Getting ready for Doll's Day was easier than I assumed beforehand. The only real issue was setting the platforms for each Doll, as there was only really space for around three rows considering the expensive nature of the dolls themselves. Seriously, I'm glad I went to that store.
Right now, I was setting down the pieces of the five musicians. Some of these actually came from my house, extras I never used. It was a little off, given I had the singer and the flute dolls look well...out of place. The ones that I bought were made to be cheaply produced for less yen, usually pretty undetailed and small. By comparison, mine were slightly bigger, and actually had some craftmanship. And were blue. Bright blue. Very obvious compared to the more muted colors of the cheap replacements and various paper dolls that Kanna and her friend made.
"Well, it isn't pretty. But that will do," Kobayashi shrugged. "We're missing the empress though..."
"Yeah, apparently those don't come in a cheap knockoff version. Unless I travel all the way to Okinawa or Hokkaido..." I explained, pushing the flute guy further away from the edge of the platform.
"You realistically could as a dragon," She told me.
"I don't want to though," I told her.
"Lazy..." She smirked, as I simply looked over towards the two girls that were playing some board game. I think it was Sorry, from America.
I have to question however the reactions of the other child towards Kanna. This Riko Saikawa person is having way too much fun being in contact with the loli dragon. Seriously, just recently Kanna wiped off a bit of sauce from a steak Tohru had made (luckily without her own tail), she seemed to become....aroused?
Blech. I rather not pay too much attention to that.
"So Iruru should be heading our way right?"
"Yeah, that's the idea. She's bringing Taketo, a coworker of hers at the candy store. Anyone of your dragon friends coming along for the ride?" I asked her back, wondering if there'd be the usual ensemble cast of various well endowed dargon grils, or something else entirely.
Heck maybe we get a cat girl or some alien. Or alien cat girl..? Eh, probably not in this canon.
"Well, Lucoa and Shouta are obviously coming by. Fafnir and Takiya said they are busy though,"
"And by busy you mean there's a new video game convention around the same time?"
"Yup," Typical Takiya. I did hear that Fafnir also was getting into a new series of games under some Chinese mobile company. I think it was some gacha based on Zelda gameplay, but I have doubts that it'll be popular with the amount of gacha games flooding the market these days.
"Yeah, Fafnir is really into it, given one of the characters can turn into a dragon," Tohru chuckled as she was dusting the room. "Of course, it's completely hilarious to think any dragon would ever help some filthy human scum,"
"But doesn't he only do that as an NPC, not as an actual playable character...what was his name again? It was Chinese-y...meh, I don't care. What's on the menu for Doll's Day?" I ignored the conversation about Fafnir's latest obsession.
My mind did wander towards what Hasashi-sensei is doing however. Checking my phone, I could see that she still hasn't responded to my latest text about Doll's Day. There was plenty of past conversations dealing with the events that led us to having a fight with actual mages.
I have to wonder why she wouldn't answer. We have been in the same house for four years now, without any issue. Hm...nah, that sounds like the plot of a hentai. Although considering tig bittied dragons, I guess it would be possible. Huh. That definitely would be awkward being in love with you're client for four years while the parents are nowhere in sight.
