Leafpool was rushing to get away from ThunderClan territory with Crowfeather. She was shaken up after the argument she had with Cinderpelt, she couldn't stop thinking about the pained expression in Cinderpelt's eyes when she accused her of never loving any cat. She has been feeling horrible ever since, and now regretting running away. But she knows what she's doing. She can't stay in the Clans anymore. She has to run away with Crowfeather. Crowfeather pressed against Leafpool. Leafpool sighed. "Are you sure we're doing the right thing?" Crowfeather licked her cheek. "Of course, don't worry about it, we'll be fine. Just remember I'm here for you, okay?"
Leafpool felt reassured, and forgot about all her problems, and just focused on her, Crowfeather, and their love.
Leafpool and Crowfeather we're running happily across the top of the hills. She never had this much fun back at camp, she was only filled with stress and responsibilities. Now she could do whatever she wanted, with Crowfeather. Leafpool was starting to get exhausted after running, she was small and light, and she had short legs. While Crowfeather was tall and very skinny, he wasn't tired and could keep on running, but decided to rest with Leafpool.
"I'm pretty hungry, I hadn't had prey since sun-high!" Meowed Leafpool.
Crowfeather laughed "Well, then you're going to have to get used to rabbit! I saw a few lurking down there." He pointed with his tail.
Leafpool rolled her eyes. "Yeah right, I'm better off with squirrel and mice!"
Crowfeather looked so much more happier, he wasn't this happy when he was in WindClan.
"Hmm, I guess we could hunt in the morning, or I could go myself and bring you prey. Since you're a..."
Leafpool cut him off, "I could come with you, I would love to practice my hunting skills more!"
Crowfeather smiled at her and nodded. Leafpool yawned with her mouth stretched wide open. She cured up and laid on the soft grass. Crowfeather looked over at her and laid next to her, Leafpool wasn't expecting him to actually come up to her, knowing he was very distant to everyone. She cuddled around with him and wrapped her tail around his. They both purred. "I love you, Leafpool" Crowfeather purred. Leafpool smiled "I love you too."
Leafpool was dreaming, she found herself in ThunderClan camp. She saw dead bodies of cats laying everywhere. Blood was spilled all over the clearing. Leafpool couldn't believe it. She ran around and found herself looking at Cinderpelt. Her throat slit open and blood pouring out of her. Her eyes were pale and dead. Behind Cinderpelt laid Sorreltail's body, and her kits too. Leafpool started crying. She sunk her face in Cinderpelt's fur. What has she done? She left ThunderClan... and now, everyone's dead! It was all my fault! She couldn't breathe. She couldn't take it anymore. She ran out of camp and out of the woods. And found herself at the edge of the lake. She was shaking and looked at her reflection. She shut her eyes and hung her head in grief. Then she saw a shape form in the water. It was Spottedleaf! "Spottedleaf, please tell me what's going on!" She cried out with tears still rolling down her face. Spottedleaf ignored her question and started at Leafpool with her white shiny eyes. "You have made a mistake. But do not worry. Good will come out of your decision. Just be patient, and your new destiny will be clear."
Leafpool shook her head. "My new destiny? What does this all mean?"
"It will be all clear." Said Spottedleaf as she began to fade.
"No, wait!" Leafpool reached out her paw but fell into the lake instead. She didn't know how to swim! She was struggling to keep her paws in motion and ended up sinking down even more. She couldn't breathe and she couldn't feel anything. She felt the water come in through her lungs and nose. She closed her eyes and let the water take her.
Leafpool woke up in a panic. She jumped back into reality and saw Crowfeather still sleeping. His legs were stretched and he looked so lovely. She didn't want to wake him up, so she went for a walk around their new territory. She had to get her mind off the things she just saw. She looked in the direction of ThunderClan territory. But sighed and kept walking. She's not part of ThunderClan anymore. Her love for Crowfeather was more important. She shut her eyes as she kept reimagining the imagine of Cinderpelt on the ground dead, she shook her head and decided to go back to Crowfeather, she didn't like being alone so openly like this. She ran up the hill again and saw Crowfeather sitting there in confusion. "Where did you go? I was so worried about you!" Leafpool saw the concern in his eyes. She knew he felt that way because he didn't want to lose his mate again. She ran up to him and reassured him. "I'm fine! I was just looking around, you were still sleeping when I woke up. So I decided to go on a small walk. I'm here, okay?" Crowfeather nodded and shook his pelt. "Well, since it's sun-high, we should go hunting." Leafpool nodded and they both went down the hill near WindClan territory for some prey. Crowfeather scanned the sniffed the area. Leafpool saw he spotted something and looked the same direction as him, it was a big white rabbit, hopping around in some grass. "Hey Leafpool, you should attack it! I'll catch it if it tries to run away!" Whispered Crowfeather. "I'm not sure. I'm not good with hunting..." Leafpool muttered. "C'mon! You'll do fine." He nudged Leafpool and gave her a reassuring smile. Leafpool silently went behind the rabbit, her small paws made it almost impossible to hear. She was right behind it, and Crowfeather in front, just in case. Leafpool crouched down, and shuffled her body to get ready to spring. She jumped into the air and landed right on top of the rabbit. Biting it and then it's throat. Crowfeather looked at her with joy. "That was amazing Leafpool, you'll be an amazing hunter in no time!" Leafpool was flustered and walked to Crowfeather to bring him the prey. Then they heard rustling in bushes. Crowfeather bristled his fur and unsheathed his claws. Leafpool stood there in shock. Someone spotted them!
A brown tabby emerged from the bushes.
"Crowfeather? What are you doing here with her?"
