Damian sighed as he looked over at his sleeping boyfriend. In the light of the full moon, Nathan looked like a sweet little angel. Nathan was sitting at his desk while he was prompt up with his head in his hand, bathed in the pale yellow glow. Damian sighed again and closed his eyes. He began remembering back when he had hated Nathan.
Nathan had always been better than Damian when it came to education.
The school that Damian and Nathan had attended gave out awards for each class such as math, literature, biology, ect. The awards were simply based off of attendance and grades. It was supposed to be just a simple thing to award the students but Damian saw it as another way to beat Nathan but, Nathan had one every single award that year... again.
"You little cunt!" Damian said, then slapped Nathan, causing his cheek to bruise. Nathan shrieked, "Ow! Damian, it's wasn't my fault!" Damian slapped him again. "I was supposed to get the rewards! Not you!" He had wanted to slap Nathan again but then Jordan, Damian's boyfriend at the time, pulled him away.
This brought another memory to mind. Jordan. Damian adored Jordan and Jordan had felt the same about Damian. That was until something happened.
Jordan was packing to go off to see his parents for Christmas. He lived with his grandmother only because his parents were unable to properly take care of Jordan. "I thought we were going to spend Christmas together this year, Jordan!" Damian said, pouting like a small child. Jordan turned to face Damian. He sighed. "My parents wanted to spend Christmas with me this year. I promise that we can spend New Years together." Jordan kissed Damian's forehead and walked outside in the the shiny, white snow to his car. Damian followed with a pout still on his face. Jordan threw his things in the back seat and looked at Damian. He laughed and said, "Don't be so pissy, Damian, or else Santa wont bring you anything for Christmas." Damian crossed his arms over his chest. "Not funny, Jordan!" Jordan chuckles and hugged Damian. "I'm sorry." He pulled away slightly and kissed him. "I'll see you in a few days." Damian sighed and forced a smile. "Alright. Be careful." Jordan walked over to his car and shot Damian a smile. "See you later!" With that, he got in his car and drove off. Damian walked back inside and within a few days, he got a call from the police. Jordan had slipped on ice and his car flipped into a ditch. He died instantly.
Damian felt his whole world come to an end. Jordan was his pride and joy. The reason he got up every morning. The reason he smiled, felt happiness. Now that was all gone.
Nathan had found Damian in his bathroom, wrists bleeding and crying his eyes out. Nathan instantly ran to him and wraped his arms around the one that he had secretly loved. "H-he's dead..." Damian chocked out. Nathan knew who he was talking about. He had gotten the call as well. That's why he rushed over. He kissed Damian's forehead. "It'll be okay, Damian... I'll be here for you." Damian looked up at Nathan and kissed him hard. Nathan was shocked but then began to kiss back.
"Mmph... Damian? Why are you crying?" Nathan said, wiping the sleep from his eyes. Damian hadn't noticed he was crying. "N-nothing." He said, wiping the tears away with the back of his hand. Nathan then joined Damian in the bed. "I miss him too... but he wouldn't like seeing you cry like this." Nathan kissed Damian's cheek. "You should get some rest." Damian shook his head and fell asleep in Nathan's arms.
