"Hey mom! Have you seen my boots? I need it for tonight's party" I asked mom while applying eyeliner

"Which one? Dr. Martens? Or the one with heels?" Mom asked

"With heels mom" I said

My mom and the Knight's king organized a party later between us witches and the knights. Ahhh, finally peace

I've been waiting for this to happen

Jairo and I haven't been in touch for a year. Well, he kept on sending me letters but I didn't read it. I don't want to read it yet. I know we both need space

I wonder what he felt? Maybe he's angry at me. I hope not. I miss him so much

"Holy shit Gwen it's just 6:45! Why are you dressed up already?! The party starts at 8!" Lesley said as they entered the room

I'm wearing a white tank top paired with a black leather jacket in case I got cold later, choker, a very short shorts and then my 4-inch black leather boots

Good thing we could dress what we want

"How do I look?" I asked while making beautiful eyes. Ugh, I look disgusting

"Well, you look like Guinevere" Layla said and grinned at me

"Ha ha, that's so nice of you Lay" I said sarcastically

"No worries" Layla said then winked at me. Gross

"Seriously, Gwen, it's too early" Angela said

We invited her. I don't want her to be left out, so we told her about our identities. Of course, at first she freaked out. I mean, who wouldn't right?

"Guys, we're the hosts. I don't wanna be late. Being on time is late already" I said as a matter of fact

The party will be held here at our mansion

"Oh yeah before I forgot, sweetie you need to remove the runes that you created a year ago. We don't want to start a war now do we?" Dad said

"Oh shit. Thanks for reminding me dad. Gotta go!"

Good thing I dressed up early. I almost forgot that effin' runes

We agreed that we will not take that off not until this party happens. We figured that we still have to be careful. Who knows? We don't know what might happen.

But now that everything's gonna be okay we decided that we put our guards down. It's time we make things right

I can feel their stares while I walk to the hallway. It's been like this since that day. I've earned their respects. No one dared to go up against me

As I reach the runes, my heart beats faster and faster. I feel like someone is staring at me. But that can't be. It's too early for him to be here

Or is it just my imagination? I sighed. I focused myself and then started whispering enchantments that will break the runes. This will be hard since I made sure that only I can break it

I can feel the sweats at my forehead. I used all of my powers and strength that I could use. I can feel that my body is already glowing.

They said I am the only one who glows brighter than any of us. They glow green light while I glow yellow. Then they figured that I am the strongest witch

One last word, then the runes vanished. I smiled. I snapped my fingers, and fireworks started to blast into the air. This is the sign that the runes are broken

I checked the time at my watch and found out that it's almost time. It took me 20 minutes to break this effin runes. Great

I walked to the gazebo. I think I need to rest a little bit. I sat and closed my eyes. Letting the cold breeze kiss my skin.

I hear footsteps coming near me "Hey, sweetie"

"Hi mom" as I opened my eyes and stared at her. Then I remembered something

"Hey mom. Can I ask you something?" I asked. Hesitating if I should ask her but I really am curious about what Alice said before

"Anything sweetie. What is it?"

"Remember when you first told me about my identity? Before Layla brought me here, I met Alice at Daniel's house. She mentioned something about a gold box that you gave me. Claiming it was theirs. Is that true?" I looked at her. Waiting for her reaction but she just smiled and said

"Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, there was a prince who fell in love with a girl. He pursued her even though the girl was always pushing him away. As time went by, she gave in. She fell in love. They loved each other deeply, even with their differences. But then, they both know that they wouldn't last forever. So, they spent the night together for the last time and gave her a golden box with his family's heirloom. He wanted her to keep it. As she got home, she tried to open the box, but she couldn't. She wondered why, but she just hugged the box as if it was the most precious thing to her" she sighed as she continued. Mom then looked at me with a sad smile.

"They both got married and have their own families now. They moved on, but they considered themselves as their greatest love"

"Do you still miss him?" I asked before I could stop myself. Her eyes widen and chuckles "Why did you assume that it was me?"

I held her hand and said "I saw it in your eyes, mom" she didn't answer but hugged me instead. I guess she still does.

What if that happens to me also? With Daniel. I don't think I can see him with another girl.

"Anyway, let's go mom" I said as I stood and offered her my hand. "We wouldn't want to be late at our own party now, do we?" She said as I smiled at her.

Upon entering, we immediately saw the king and queen of the Knights. We went to them and they talked. I didn't want to butt in suddenly, so I was only listening to them.

"I believe you've met my daughter, Guinevere" I heard my mom say. When I looked at her, that's when it hit me. I looked at my mom and then the king.

"Thank you for coming, your majesty. It's an honor to have you here" I said, then smiled at both of them.

They share the same emotions in their eyes. It's like a mirror. The king of the Knights was the prince she fell in love with?

"Ahh, yes. It's so nice to finally meet you" the queen said. "Have you met my son? I believe he's here already. He said he didn't want to be late"

Mom and I both looked at each other and said we hadn't met him.

"Oh? I guess he's hiding somewhere. He's about your age, actually. And oh, I heard you like to read so I asked him to bring books for you" the king said as he looked for the prince.

"How kind of you, sir. Thank you very much" I said

"Please, no need to thank us. We're grateful to you, brave young lady. We finally have our peace" and then we laughed.

The king and queen looks at me with warmth in their eyes. Have I met them elsewhere?

But before I could stop myself "I'm sorry to suddenly ask, but have we met before? You seem familiar to me" I said, trying to think.

But it's impossible. The queen was nowhere near us when the war happened. I believe she stayed in their kingdom.

"Oh, there he is!" The queen said, then pointed someone at my back.

I turned around and then there, I saw him. My home. He's here

"Missed me?"
