Chatper 35: looking for her

Johhny's pov

i opened my eyes ''guys he waking up!'' someone called ''jade?'' i asked ''yeah its me johnnycake'' she moved some hair out of my face i looked around to see the gang were in a white room ''w-where am i?'' i asked weakly ''the hospital'' Bella answered softly next to soda ''for how long?'' i asked ''a week'' mini answered holding on to darry's arm ''a-and Lilly how is she?'' i asked ''still missing, but this came for you'' jade said as Kate handed me a letter i slowly opened the letter.

A silver necklace with the flinty on it with some blood on it came out with a note ''t-that's the necklace i gave Lilly'' pony said i started to read the letter.

We said not to call the cops you better call them off or else. She crys for big brother, Johnny, as we beat her, but she starting lose hope in you or anyone saving her fast, she starting to learn that no one really cares about her. Your luckily we don't kill her we could, but we won't.

''Well what does it say?'' bella asked i couldn't say it so i handed them the letter ''sorry johnnycake'' steve said ''hey hope you feel better'' two bit said ''we'll find her don't worry'' dal said i laid back down the doc walked in ''sorry to say this but it's time for you guys to leave'' he said they left giving me there good byes and such the doc stayed most likely to tell me how i'm doing.

''So mr. cade how your sister doing didn't see her?" he asked "group of boys took her, where i don't know" i sighed "sorry to hear that" he wrote down something on some paper "yeah well i hope she okay" i said "yeah i think she comes in here to much yet still a nice girl heard about what happen at the jail house sorry about that" he said getting some things "yeah well i just wish she wouldn't be so hard on herself" i sighed "yep, poor kid" i don't even think he cared very much.

"So i really been asleep for a week?" i asked "yes sir you had a real deep and bad cut on your side plus walking 4 blocks didn't help the matters" he said i nodded "you'll be fine" he started for the door "you can leave when ever" he said then walking out i closed my eyes.

---Johnny's dream---

I was around 2-3 years old "johnny we'er going to the hospital" my dad said full of joy "why?" i asked "because your going to have a new baby sister" he smiled we got to the hospital and to the waiting room about 4 hours later Lilly was born i had picked a near by Lilly as a gift. we walked into the room mom was holding the little baby girl "hey johnny" mom said smiling she looked like a mess but i didn't want say anything. "hey mommy" i had called mom, mommy, and dad, daddy as a kid. we walked close to her "what you got there johnny?" dad asked "a flower" i answered "is it for the baby, what her name?" i said handing her the flower "thats how you be a good big brother" dad patted me on the back. "johnny we didn't pick a name for her yet" mom said answering me, the baby laughed holding the lilly "aw how cute she likes your lilly, johnny" mom smiled "maybe we should call her lilly" dad said i think he was joking "great idea little lilly cade" mom smiled looking at the baby. "and a middle name?" i asked "mac?" dad asked i didn't really like it but still didn't want say anything "sure, Lilly Mac Cade, as a nice ring to it" she giggled "what you think son? being a good big brother?" dad asked "i don't know how to be a big brother" i said sly "its easy, just keep her safe and keep boys away from her and keep her out of trouble also always love her care for her and be there for her" mom said i nodded. That was the day I became a big brother, that was the day Lilly Mac Cade was born.

"Johnny Cade?" someone asked me which woke me up "hello?" i asked "Johnny Cade older brother of Lilly Mac Cade?" the voice asked "yes" i answered "where am i? who are you? whats going on?" i asked "i'm death, do not worry no one you care about is dying or you, just needed to know somethings, also your sister she will be fine in the end just hold on to her and be there for her cause your going to need her" he said then walking away in the darkness.

I jumped up "you okay?" a girl asked it was kate "fine" i answered she nodded she was the only one here, i started to think about that guy ''death'' is what he said his name was and that about lilly whats going on? "johnny i came here cause i wanted to do something, something i wanted to do for a long time" she got up and moved some hair out of my face then out of no where she kissed me, i was to weak to stop her and soon she pulled away "sorry but i just had to" she said "its fine but i liked jade i'm sorry" i said "oh, right, i'm sorry i should go" she ran out the room crying. well that went great there is a good chance jade would be mad but not for long jade doesn't care much when kate like this but mini might just yell at me for a mintue i mean she kissed me i was to weak to stop her. gosh i'm an idiot.

Lilly's pov

"Please stop" i cried milk was beating me again i have been here i don't know where with him and his brother and friends for 8 days, "shut up" he said he started to punch, kick, and beat me. "where your family now? your brother? your friends? they don't care, have you seen the news no one looking for you" he was right he would leave me in a room with a tv on the news and not a word about me missing he started to show me the news 4 days later when they took me.

"Johnny he'll come, he cares" i said weakly "no he won't he doesn't care you idiot!" he yelled at me i started to cry thinking that he was right he dropped a blade "i'll be back later" he walked i took the blade and started to cut myself i felt better if some else did it then it wouldn't feel as good i don't know why but it does when i do. "johnny you don't need to worry for me, i like it, i want be dead, its better if i am for you johnny, do it for johnny" i said to myself.

Ponyboy's pov

I'm going crazy without Lilly "ponyboy you okay?" bella asked me "yes i'm fine" i shrugged lying she looked at me like she knew i was lying i didn't like it, she shrugged it off and went back to talking with soda jade came up to me "ponyboy can i talk to you in the other room?" she asked i nodded and we walked into lilly/johnny's room.

"What ya need jade?" i asked sitting on the bed "umm well lilly my best friend and you hurt 3 times she gone god knows where and i just want say this and let me make sure i say this once nice and clear" she started and the tone of her voice scared me a little "look i don't know where your going with this but i'm not going to hurt her...again" i had said the last part lowly but i knew she heard it.

She pulled out her bloodly old blade from her boot then opening it then looking at me i was getting scared even more then before, she pushed me on to the wall putting the blade to my neck "now like i said before i'm going to make this nice and clear for you, hurt my friend anyone of them again or ever i will come and find you and when i do i'll beat the living tar out of you, i would now but i don't think darry and soda plus the rest of the gang would want me to do it, but just wait in till you mess you again, then i get first shot at you, that is if you hurt lilly again then johnny will beat me to it, funny like a kid like him could beat his own best friend into the ground for his loved kid sister, good luck, ponyboy" she said into my ear giving me chills of fear "did i make myself clear?" she asked i was to scared to answer.

"I said did i make myslef clear?!" she asked again annoyed pushing me harder to the wall coming close to cutting my neck but luckily me i didn't get a nice cut on the neck "y-yes, jade" i answered she smiled "good" she let go of me "now don't say a word about what happen here, got it?" she pointed her blade at me i noded "y-yeah" i answered she smiled. "Good boy" she pat my head like a she was petting a pony, which i hated.

"See ya ponyboy" she walked out of the room i looked at the door for a mintue then walked out "hey ponyboy guess what?" soda asked me as i walked in "what?" i asked sitting next to sam "we'er going have a rumble with the socs to get lilly back!" sam said joyfully "thats great, right?" she added "yeah just the best" i said with fake joy not that i'm unhappy about us getting lil back if we win but having to fight to get her back i mean they should of never took her in the first place and now we'er fighting for her, man is this dumb.
