"it happened again?"

"It's been happening Jason." He knew it too.

Jason is probably one of the most selfless people I have ever known. All the time I have to run to his house in the middle of the night.

When it first started happening, he didn't even question it because he could tell I didn't want to talk about it.

I eventually opened up to him and his girlfriend, Amy.

Amy is one of the most badass sweethearts ever. Her and I became great friends after she got together with Jason. and I've never seen Jason so happy after. The three of us are like the golden trio.

"Do you want me to call Amy over? We can all watch a movie or something." Jason told me

"It's like, the middle of the night J. She's probably sleeping. Plus we do have school tomorrow."

Jason's dad was the heaviest sleeper on the planet. It was just them two in the house, but since his dad fell asleep so early and was a heavy sleeper, it just felt like the two of us some nights. Or three of us if Amy is here.

Jason and I went downstairs and we knew what to do. It was like a routine - or a sad tradition.

He went straight to the kitchen and I went to the living room and picked up the remote.

A few minutes later he was sitting beside me on the couch with a gigantic bowl of popcorn, chips and chocolate.

We were scrolling through the different movies on Netflix and finally chose Shrek.

We laughed and laughed until I realised the time

"Shit man, it's 2:03am."

"Ugh Mr. Parker is gonna kill me if I sleep in geo again." Jason said as he put his face on his hands.

I laughed and threw a piece of popcorn in my mouth.

"Let's go to sleep then."

The only reason I don't sleepover at Jason's on school nights is because I know one of my family members would find out I left the house.

"See ya tomorrow V. And get some sleep okay?

"Course, thanks again by the way."

He chuckled "you very well know you're always welcome."

We highfived and then I walked out the door.
