"Vacant time, vacant minds."

"So, have you found your inspiration yet?"

I nodded in remiss, but I thought otherwise. My mind was clearly occupied with the frustration of not being able to draw a single stroke on the blank canvas sitting in front of me.

Having an inspiration was always special. It's a reason to work hard for your passion, or to feel hopeful in drastic times.

But it was almost as if my thoughts became completely quiet when it came to thinking of creative ideas for my next masterpiece. Like the vacant art classroom surrounding the two of us right now.

Kim Taehyung sat across from me, right next to the canvas as he slouched over his lap, laying his head on his long fingers, patiently waiting for my first move. I sat lifelessly, my right hand halted in the middle of the air as it solely grasped the drawing pencil that was just a few inches away from touching the canvas. It was so close.

   Sigh.

"Wait, you're not going to draft your piece?" Taehyung asked, raising his brows in surprise as I abruptly shoved my unused paintbrushes and acrylic paint set into my school bag without a word.

"I don't really feel like drawing today." I replied obnoxiously, putting my pencil back into my sketching tool kit. There were definitely no other options when my EQ was refusing to cooperate. First world problems.

"Right," Taehyung mumbled, "you'll keep procrastinating if you keep using the same excuse five days in a row."

I don't address his reply, simply huffing as a response.

Taehyung remained hovering on his lap, carefully observing my irritated expression and my aggressive manner.

"Come on Tae, let's get going. It's nearly 8pm." I uttered bluntly, packing my remaining belongings and zipping my bag. I stood up, side eyeing my best friend who was still seated on his chair.

"You know you can always consider drawing me when you run out of ideas." he suggested, cutely sticking out his lower lip as he leaned sideways on his hand.

I lifted an eyebrow. "Oh? But you already look like a fine art yourself."

"Well, they don't call me CGV for no reason." Taehyung grinned in satisfaction, creating a victory sign with his right hand below his right eye, his signature gesture.

I huffed. "For your information, I was referencing to The Scream. You both look remarkably identical, especially your ET fingers." I snickered to myself. "Get up, narcissist."

Taehyung simply rolled his eyes, slowly standing up as he hung his side bag over his left shoulder. He softly side shoulder bumped my own as I continued to giggle.

The sudden sound of thunder sent a wave of shock up my body as I squeaked, clutching onto Taehyung's arm in an instant. This time it was his turn to tease me.

"I'd take being a narcissist over a coward any day." he hummed, strutting towards the classroom door with my koala form desperately clinging onto him.

"It's not my fault I hate loud noises-" I whisper-yelled before another storm roared, shutting me up. I watched Taehyung as he unbotheredly turned the lights off one by one. Quicker than ever, the art room slowly disappeared into the darkness. I felt a slight nudge before he began moving again, which I forced myself to keep up with his quick footsteps down the dim hallway.

"Could you not hang onto me for one second?" he grunted, trying to shake me off.

   "No."

"You're so damn heavy. Stop eating so much junk food will you?"

   "No."

Taehyung sighed. He continued to walk down the hallway in ease, while I tagged alongside him. His walking pace suddenly slowed down, coming to a stop as we both stood still, looking at the music room next to the staircase.

The door was covered with newspaper scraps that were on the verge of peeling off, which only made it look intimidating than usual, not to mention the sky has already fallen dark.

Taehyung went completely silent, before slowly turning his head to look at me with a blank expression.

"What the hell Tae, don't look at me like that! It's scary."

"You know what else is scary?" he said monotony, "Rumors say that if you stay at school late around this time, you can hear the piano playing by itself from this music room. From do... rei... mi... fa..."

"So... fucking done with you~" I blurted out, covering my ears as I blabbered a bunch of nonsense to distract me from the pathetic story. I kept my eyes shut as I walked passed the music room.

I could hear Taehyung chuckling beside me, but I kept my entire body cowered front incase he tried anything else to scare me again.

"You're such a scaredy cat. It's cute." he teased, scuffing my hair before joyfully hopping ahead of me.

"Yah, don't leave me alone!" I panicked, darting towards him as Taehyung rushed downstairs without a care, enjoying the sight of a petite girl chasing after him in fright and anger.

I'd like to believe it was my best friend's wicked sense of humour that triggered my anxiety. But I knew somewhere in the back of my head, I heard a keyboard lightly being pressed down as I rapidly passed by the music room.

Or perhaps I was just hallucinating. After all, it was just a vacant music room.
