Under Attack

There was a loud explosion and a burst of flames blew through the glass flooring. I was blown back towards the door, the wave of heat stung my face and my hands felt warm. My back hit the wall and I fell onto the floor in the hallway. I slumped over and gritted my teeth, the air was knocked out of me. What the hell just happened? 

Fury's voice came over the comms. "Flint, do you copy?" 

I took a few breaths and pressed my finger to my ear. "I copy." 

I looked into the doorway and saw Fury stand up. I slowly got up when I realized that no one else was in the lab. 

"Hill!" He shouted as I stumbled back into the lab. 

"External detonation. Number three engine is down." Maria's voice came in my earpiece. "Somebody's gotta get outside and patch that engine." 

I looked down at the hole that was blown in the floor and saw Natasha and Bruce underneath pipes and flooring debris.

"Stark, you copy that?" Fury said into his earpiece. 

"I'm on it." Tony replied. 

"Flint, get to the bridge." Fury looked at me. 

"Yes, sir." I turned and ran as fast as I could to the main bridge. As I made my way down the hall I heard a roar, I stopped and looked behind me. "Oh, God." There goes Bruce. 

I continued towards the main bridge when three men were making their way towards me. I looked around before turning back to them. 

"Where are you going? I thought everyone was in the armory." I said. Then one of them held up his gun and aimed it at me. "Shit!" I shouted and ran back into a doorway before the bullets could reach me.

I pulled out my gun and began to shoot at them. A man cried out and there was a thud, then two gun shots came from behind me and there were two thuds. I turned my head and saw Fury walking with his gun out, I looked back in front of me to see the three men on the ground.

"We've been hijacked." I said. 

"I can see that, let's go." Fury replied and we continued running down the hall.

We got to the bridge and Fury ran up to his platform. "We have a 180 heading south, take us to the water." 

"Navigations recalibrating after the engine failure." A crew member replied. 

"Is the sun coming up?" Fury questioned.

"Yes, sir." 

"Then put it on the left." Fury pointed to the left. "Get us over water. One more turbine goes down and we drop." He then turned to me. "Where is Thor?" 

I shook my head. "I don't know, I don't keep head count of everyone here, after the explosion it was chaos." I replied. 

"I want you to patrol the carrier for any more hijackers. Don't hesitate to kill them." He pointed towards the exit. 

I began to turn when I stopped and looked back at Fury. "What if it's Clint?" 

Fury paused before he answered. "Try to bring him back, do your best to keep him from harming anyone." 

"Yes, sir." I nodded and ran down another hallway.

I entered the hangar and a large crate came flying my way. I ducked down and looked up to see Thor and a giant, green, human looking beast. Hulk. 

"Thor!" I shouted, and he glanced at me while holding onto Hulk's neck. 

"Go! I can handle him!" He shouted back.
