After a while of waiting for myself to die, I decided that I wasn't going to, or at least not now.

After preparing myself mentally for the pain I was about to feel, I started to slowly get up. It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, but it still was pretty painful.

I've been laying there for about, well, a long time since it was starting to get light out. It was probably about six o'clock or five.

I guess I should explain what I look like. Well, I mean before the cuts and bruises.

Well, my skin is paleish and tan. I have brown eyes that started strangly flickering blue ever since my thirteenth birthday. I'm the only one that notices it, though. My eyesight got strangly better on my birthday, too, so now no more glasses.

I have straight silky brown hair up to my shoulder blades and I have cute freckles in a line from my checks, across my nose, and to my other cheak.

I was submerged up to my waist into the water. My wounded legs had soaked all night in the cold water.

My shorts had also been soaked, wich made them really tight and annoying. The worst part, was the moving.

My wounds had just started to heal, so when I moved I just stretched them out more.

Painfully,I took out the soap and began washing the cuts.

It was painful, but it was better than dying from infection. After that I did my best to ring out my shorts, but it dident really help.

Moving was much less painful now, since all of the dirt and scabs were scrubbed off of the cuts. I popped two grapes in my mouth and took a sip of water. I wanted to eat everything in my bag, but sadly I couldent.

Once all of the stuff in my pack wore out I planned to start going into towns and looking through garbage or somthing. It would be my only way to survive.

I hoped that by then I would find some secret place that would keep me safe, they must have one with all these monsters.

Sadly, I couldent think much longer.ni had to move. Away from them.

I struggled up and grabbed a hold of a low hanging tree branch to catch my balance. My right foot was a bloody mess, and even the water couldent clean it. The Cyclopes smashed that leg about two times, wich destroyed it.

It would probably never heal.

I sighed and started walking. This is how I would die. From infection.

I plopped another grape in my mouth for strength. It did help, but not really. I couldent see any sign of life anymore, wich I guess was good.

I let my mind drift off. To what would have happened if I stayed.

Mabye the police could have taken care of it, or Mabye they would leave me alone because I was more powerful with a group.

Mabye I should have stayed with those kids.

I shook the thought away. Why would I?!?!?! They were trying to catch me and my family. I will never let that happen.

Soon it started to get dark, and blood was trickling down my cuts because of the walk. Time passed so quickly in the woods.

I set my bag down next to a tree and take a couple of sips of water and ate a carrot for the night.

"Small rations"

I whipped my head around to the voice. My bag was resting on the tree over by the other side. The person was the Mexican boy. That meant he would probably catch me if I made a grab for my knife.

I still tried though.

He ended up catching me in the same position as last time. With a behind hug.

"So we meet agian" he says, with humor in his vioce. He probably wanted to show that he wasn't a threat, but it wasn't working.

"Let me go!" I yelled, struggling against his grip.

It wasn't really working.

"Relax, youre injured" he said in sudden realasation of my cuts and bruises. He let go and made me s it down, well not really made me but told me, and I followed because I was just to tired to protest.

"Sorry, I'm not an Apollo kid, but you'll probably live" he said jokingly, but I just gave him a confused look. He sighed.

"I'll let the others explain" he told men as he got up and held out a hand for me to take. I shook my head.'Im not going anywhere with you, you tried to kill me and my family" I said with newly found confidence.

He looked at me strangely and then shook his head" it wasn't us, were on you're side kido" he told me.

I scowled athim "never call me that agian."

He laughed "I'll be right back" he then left the clearing andi made a run for my bag. As soon as I grabbed it I ran full speed,or as fast as an injured girl could go.

Soon though, I felt the pounding of feet nearing up behind me, wich helped me run faster, until I tripped with my bad foot over a root.

I cursed and then tried to pull myself back up, but ended up just flopping back down into the mud. Then, I got the idea.

I quickly covered my face in the mud just as the black haired boy and blonde haired girl pulled me up .

The others stood around me and the goat boy kept on muttering 'demigod' until the choppy haired girl told him to shut up. Finally, the boy with blonde hair stepped in front of me "who are you?" he asked cautiously.

I scowled at all of them"Give me one good reason why I should tell you?'

The black haired boy shrugged" I'm Percy" then the blonde haired girl spoke"I'm Annabeth"

They all said They're names.

I looked at the ground "I'm Sky" I whispered. Percy leaned foward "What was that?" he asked. "SKY" I said alittle louder.

He nodded."Here" Annabeth handed me a square of some food wich I quickly ate. I was starving. Before I knew what was happening, all of my cuts turned to little white streaks that were already fading, and the leg I thought would never fully heal went back to normal.

I gasped and the others laughed."Come on,let's get you cleaned off" Percy said. I nodded, even though I still had suspicions about them, I trusted them enough to at least show them my face.

We went over to the river and I splashed the cold water over my face. Once I lifted my head, Percy gasped. I sighed"If it's my eyes, they only shine blue after I get even the tiniest bit wet.

He shook his head scarcely and pointed above my head wear a large, blue triton shimmered.
