ALLISON'S POV
The gates of New Covington tower over me. It has been three years since we were here last. I really didn't want to come here. Just to many bad memories I guess. One more town. that's all we need to do before our trip back to Eden. Zeke is still sleeping in the house we slept over in. He should be up by now. I turn around and start walking back when I hear a familiar laugh. Turning around I see the face of Zeke."Did you know you are absolutely beautiful when you think no one is watching?". He gave me a lazy smile."Did you know you are a bastard?". I walked over and gave him a peck on the lips."Lets go get all our stuff and head into town." I said with a wink. Zeke set his jaw."Its gonna rain soon we better hurry.".Already feeling drops of water I pulled my jacket up over my head wishing it had a hood. Zeke was already starting to walk. "Come on ,Allie. I'll race you." I walked up to him and looked into his eyes, "Deal.". I pushed him back and started sprinting up the dirt road.Looking back I saw Zeke getting up covered in mud. Fighting back my smile I kept running. The small broken cottage was coming into view and I unconsciously slowed down to a jog. I watched as Zeke ran past me, sticking his tongue out. How childish. I watched as he beat me to the cottage. "Do I get a victory kiss?" he asked. Scowling I walked past him and hung my soaked jacket up on a board. "I hurt my ankle! That's why I slowed down!","Mhmm", "I'm serious ,Zeke!" I sat down in a chair. "Well at least I didn't cheat." Zeke smirked and sat down in the chair across from me. It creaked under his weight."These chairs kinda suck.", "Are you kidding me vampire girl? They are divine.", Zeke kicked up his feet and set them on the table giving a smug look. All of a sudden the chair broke and Zeke fell with a yelp of surprise. "I told you!", I said laughing. I got up and walked to see him. the bottom of the chair had fallen through and he looked stuck. Grabbing his hand I pulled him up effortlessly. Being a vampire had its ups.Zeke looked down at me. "You are going to have to pay me back for that head start.", I took a step forward so I was flush against him. " Oh, really now?I have something in mind that may satisfiy your needs.", "I love this side of you.", " oh, please! You love all sides of me." placing my hands on his shoulders I jumped up and put my legs around his waist. "That I do."
