After that weird handshake I got up, "Do you live near here?" The scared tone was replaced by a nonchalant smooth one. Since my knee still hurt I focused most of my weight on the other. "No, I travel quite a bit just to stay in one lone household." "Wow, my house is like hell on earth. I've been wanting to leave for a long time." Reid gave me a weird look, "Then why haven't you left your home before?" "I'm not sure..." My voice trailed off. "Your too young to be all alone. Why don't you travel with me?" He smiled. My cheeks must have turned red because he laughed softly, "How cute, I'll take that as a yes." Reid made the decision for me and suddenly his hand was over mine, our fingers now intertwined. I nervously peered down at them, his soft and fair skinned hand had a few scars on them. Probably from childhood accidents or while he was traveling. "Well where shall our adventure take us?" He grinned down at me as if he was excited to finally have someone to walk along side him and to be honest. Reid was.
