"But everyone can change, right?"

I turned around to see Toriel again.

Had she not gone to rest herself?

"Wh-what do yo-you me-mean?" I asked, cautious on her reply.

"Everyone can change, can't they? I remember the voice behind the door saying it himself. Came by one time, telling me about a female human with e/c eyes and h/c hair. Said everyone can change, if they just tried..."

"Sans?"

Toriel smiled evilly at my reply, "Yes. I'm sure that was his name. But the funny thing was... He told me that if I ever saw the human, I shouldn't kill it... I should 'protect' it for him."

What she did next, terrified me more then I had ever been before.

She took out a sharp knife from behind her back, sharper then the one she'd used to cut the pie.

Her grin was an insane, evil one.

"But imagine me doing that, huh?"

Flowey was right... We shouldn't have trusted Toriel...

It was at this moment that I picked up Flowey who yelled ("SCATTER!!!" Throwing his bottle on the ground. Jk. But that skit is funny) "Y/N! RUN FOR IT!!!"

So I did.

Toriel wasn't blocking the door hugely and, thanks to my small size, I was able to find a gap between her and the door.

As I slipped past, I pushed her over.

Hopefully that will give us a few extra seconds to escape.

Flowey also slammed the door shut behind us.

I made a few quick turns and booked it down the stairs and long corridors that had triggered some past memories.

Finally, I came face to face with the door.

Without hesitation, I rammed into it making it drag roughly against the ground.

I then heard Toriel, "Come back my Child! We haven't yet had dessert!!"

Oh hell no.

I turned and shut the door again before running out into the snowy woods again.

I neared the little bridge that Papyrus had set up...

When I had first met Sans.

I sat down on the snowy ground, placing Flowey next to me.

My hand landed on the collar that Sans had put on me when we had met.

"I'm not threatening, I'm protecting."

"Of course I'm confident."

"I already said don't me scared of me, Kid. Now, what's it gonna be? You wanna die, or you wanna live?"

For some reason, I kinda missed him.

I felt safe around him.

"What are you thinking about, Y/n?" Flowey asked.

"Me?" two voices asked at once.

One female, one male.

I looked up in panic to see a figure on either side of me.

"S-Sans? T-toriel?"

Sans looked at me, almost as if he was checking for injuries and Toriel looked at me with bloodlust evident in her eyes.

"So your Toriel?" Sans finally broke the silence, looking up at the goat woman.

She nodded, "And your Sans?"

He nodded too before suddenly wrapping his arms around me, in a backwards hug.

"Are you okay?" He whispered in my ear.

I nodded.

"She didn't hurt you?" He whispered again.

I shook my head.

He looked back up at Toriel.

"I thought you never leave the Ruins?"

She smiled, her smile not as insane as before.

"I don't... Just came to give you this..."

Bloodlust overtook her eyes again as she smiled evilly bringing the knife out again.

Sans suddenly turned on her, "What are yo-"

He stopped when Toriel threw it, aiming at me.

I covered my face with my arms in shock as I felt a searing pain in my stomach.

She'd....

Hit...

Me...

"Y/n?! Y/n?! Are you okay?! Y/n, speak to me!!" I heard Sans' voice but it was fading.

It sounded muffled, as if I was Underwater and he was above water.

The last thing I heard was Toriel's evil laugh and Sans yelling, "Y/n! I'm so sorry!!!"

***

I gasped, sitting up from the cold floor.

Flowey was next to me in his pot, looking at me worriedly.

"Y/n, are you okay?" He asked.

"Wherearewe? Whathappened? Yourememberallthatdon'tyou???"

I didn't stutter once, my voice coming out all jumbled and at once.

"Y/n, calm down. Say it again, slower..."

"You remember all that, right???" I asked.

"Remember all what?"

I rubbed my temples, thinking of a better question.

"Okay... Where are we?"

Flowey looked at me confused, "We've just come past the Ruins, we're in front of her house..."

"Toriel's?" I asked.

Flowey then looked at the golden star floating in front of us.

It was dimmer then before.

Flowey turned back to me, realization on his face.

"You died. (Stay determined or something) You died and came back here. Like I said when you SAVED here at this star..."

"So I like... Reset?" I asked.

He nodded.

My eyes widened in fear.

"I'm going to have everything happen again..."
