'do you think i killed him?' katya sat on the edge of the bathroom counter, swinging her legs.
'i-i don't know.' trixie said slowly. 'i mean, you did get him in the chest.'
'huh...' katya paused for a moment. 'guess we are bonnie and clyde.'
'do you feel bad? about any of this?' trixie asked, rubbing antiseptic cream into katyas wound. she was feeling confused. her girlfriend may have literally killed a man, but she seemed so nonchalant about it.
'not really. he was threatening us.'
'we were robbing him at gunpoint, katya.'
the two sat in silence for several minutes, trixie dressing katyas abdomen.
'do you?' katya reversed the question.
'a bit, i guess. i can't stop thinking about his family, if he had one. but also, he shouldn't have held a gun up to you.' trixie didn't believe the last part of her sentence. he had every right to shoot, they were robbing him.
'no use dwelling on the past.' katya shrugged, then winced in pain. 'folie au deux, baby.'
'you always come out with these foreign phrases, and i never know what they mean.' trixie laughed.
'it means madness of two.' katya pressed their foreheads together and grabbed trixies face gently, bloodying her.
'just tell me this,' she whispered. 'do i look cool?'
'babe,' trixie smiled. 'you look so cool.'
