Danny couldn't help but smile at Dash and Dani in the backseat as he had driven them all toward the mall.  It wasn't hard to get Helen to allow them all to go to the mall, but Robert was a bit harder. He was playing the over protective dad card to a not so healthy degree, it was so bad that the younger hero began to wonder why Robert was going the length he was. Then he realized it wasn't just he and Violet, he was taking Dash and Dani on what could look like a chaperoned date. After that realization he rolled his eyes and had to promise to have the kids home by eight. The trunk was filled with new things for Dani, her furniture would be coming Sunday.

"Who is hungry," Violet called from the passenger seat. She and Danny had been discussing areas that they could get food that everyone would like to eat at while the two preteens in the back shared a tablet and headphones. They had agreed on a Chinese restaurant that was close to the Parrs home, so they could head straight home when they finish.

"Me!"

"I am!"

Danny chuckled without humor at the over excited tone from his cousin and drove into the parking lot so they could eat in. Violet got the keys and locked the doors when the preteens came out of the car. As soon as they went into the restaurant and a waitress came to them and showed them to a booth before getting the drinks that they had ordered.

Violet was watching the exchange that went on with Danny and the waitress seeing how the waitress was being so touchy-feely with her friend. She saw how Danny would glare and growl at the redhead that never seemed to take a hint from the angry teen. When the lady came back, Violet cuddled up to Danny's side so the waitress would leave her friend alone, which she luckily did. Though, not without a not so subtle roll of her eyes.

"Thank you," Danny breathed into Violet's hair. Their drinks sat in front of them as the two preteens were talking about the middle school that Dani would be going to attend soon. "That is why I hate restaurants. If a customer is even remotely attractive then there is always a chance that they would do something as cliche as what just happened in hopes of getting lucky."

Danny ordered some type of dumplings that Violet had wanted, Dani and Dash both got some type of chicken with pork fried rice. The night was just for fun as the group needed it from the extreme exercise that Robert had seemed to be interested in, Helen seemed to be focusing more on her marriage and Jack-Jack which leaves the other two children bored and left alone with each other. Danny was just stressed with the rumors that seem to spread like wildfire and having Dani found just made his stress skyrocket.

"Danny," Violet asked. Danny looked at her giving her all of his attention to her. "Why don't you ever accept a confession that a girl gives you?"

"Never the right girl that confessed. They never even tried to get to know me, they only like me because of my appearance and my bad boy rep." Danny said annoyed that he knew that was the only reason a girl would want him. It was also why he made it so he seemed more unapproachable, but that died because of him becoming friends with Violet giving other girls the confidence that they needed. If a small and shy girl like Violet could get close to him, then they could too. Oh how wrong they were, Danny thought.

"Is there a girl you like," Violet asked hesitantly.

Danny looked over Violet, his Crystal, and smiled as he remembered all the times they have had since meeting. A small smile floated over his chapped lips as a small and simple word slipped passed those lips. "Yeah."

"Oh," Violet said with disappointment. They had all gotten their food which didn't take long for them to finish, but Danny made an excuse to leave for a moment. There was a small gift shop that sold real jewelry and he saw a perfect ring that he knew Violet would love. It was also the only one in her size.

"Can I get that blue opal ring in the size six?" The man smiled at the dark haired boy, soon coming to the conclusion that he was a sweet boy. Danny gave the man the cash and walked away back to the booth that he and the others were at. He slipped in the spot he had been in before and faced his best friend. "Crystal, close your eyes for me."

"Why," Violet asked darkly. She felt like her heart was pulled out of her chest, she didn't want to face the boy she has come to fall for, but she wanted to stay close to him as much as she could.

"Just do it and stop being a Debby Downer," Danny teased. When he saw her eyes were closed he grabbed her hand and slid the ring on her ring finger. "Now what you feel is me placing a promise that I will be there for you no matter what is to happen. I want you to know I promise I will never leave voluntarily. I will stand by you every day. Now, look at what is on your finger."

Violet opened her eyes seeing a dark blue opal ring surrounded by clear crystals that shimmered like the night sky in the orange glow of the restaurant. Her sapphire eyes looked at Danny and she was quick to hug him. "Thank you."

Danny then got everyone in the car telling them they needed to go back home for the night. When they arrive at the Parr house, they could not unhear what was going on for the parents had left the window cracked and the noise was so loud that it was making everyone uncomfortable. Danny rang the doorbell many times before it was opened by Helen, who had messy bed hair.

"What are you kids doing ringing the bell," she asked slightly confused. She saw the red faces of Danny and Violet before understanding and embarrassment flooded on her face. "Oh."

"Why were you screaming, mom? Was dad sparring with you?"

Violet and Danny shuffled awkwardly as Dani just stood there not caring. She pulled Dash to her and whispered in his ear, no one heard what she said and it was clear that Dash now understood what was going on since he had a look of disgust cross his face.

"So, we will just take Jack-Jack and spend the night with Dani and Danny. Please shut the door fully next time."

Helen never said a word as she watched her kids walk in their home to get ready for a sleepover. Danny and Dani just sat on the car playing with their powers until the others came back. The first out was Violet with a pack and Jack-Jack, her face was beet red and seemed grossed out. Danny knew what she saw and wished that she could erase what she had seen. "I have been there as well. Many times."

Dash zoomed out with the car seat and his own pack before getting in ready to leave for Danny's home.
