Flashback
"(Y/n) (l/n)," The recording began. I gripped the edge of my seat as tight as humanly possible and bit my lip as my (e/c) eyes stared at the hologram displaying my notice from U.A.
"Congratulations! You've scored a total of 104 points on the performance test and an astonishing 98 on the written exam," hologram All Might exclaimed with pride. A wave of relief washed over me, followed by a tsunami of overwhelming excitement.
I screamed in exultation as I began to run downstairs to notify my parents.
I was just accepted into U.A!
End of flashback
I excitedly sat on the floor which was slightly raised in comparison to the flooring my family's shoes laid upon, organized in a neat and tidy manner. I kicked on my favorite pair of sneakers and stood up, grabbing my bag while opening the main door to reveal the bright and sunny exterior of my home.
"Mom! Dad! I'm leaving now!!" I called out to them, my back already turned and my body halfway out the door. My expedition to the outdoors, however, was halted by a panicked cry from my mother. "(Y/n)! Wait!!" She exclaimed, stumbling towards the door and nearly slipping on the hardwood floor. I reluctantly turned back around to face her, my hand's grip tightening around the strap of my shoulder bag. "...yes mom?" I replied, unconsciously revealing my slightly annoyed tone.
My mother noticed this and looked up at me, as I was taller, with a cheery smile. "Have fun at school today, sweetie." She said, trapping me in a tight hug. I felt my face flush as I hugged her back. "Okay, okay, I'm hugging you back. See?" I responded with a small giggle, as I know she wouldn't have released me from her grip if I hadn't done so. She rubbed my back affectionately, her small hands calming any nerves I might've had previously, and loosened her grip around my body to the point where her arms were no longer holding me hostage. "Come back safe." She finally said with a small peck on my cheek. I laughed as I responded. "Thanks mom."
I slowly backed away from my mother as I turned around once more to launch myself outside, shutting the door behind me. With all the adrenaline coursing through my body, I hopped onto my bike and began to pedal, the hot seat warming my thighs while my uniform skirt and (h/c) hair flew from the wind.
"Now's the real beginning of my life at U.A." I thought, pedaling as fast as my legs could possibly move while my navy blue bag was slung over my right shoulder. A bright smile was permanently plastered onto my face as I imagined what school would be like. What kind of friends I could make, what kind of people I'd meet, what kind of quirks they'd have, etc.
I must've been so lost in thought that I didn't even notice that I'd arrived at the front gates of my new high school.
It looked even more magnificent than what I remembered, the gates towering over us people and the building itself glistening from the morning sun. I hopped off my bike and began following the crowds of people heading inside, placing my bike on a rack and locking it up. As I walked through the doors of the school into the room where we'd change our shoes, I scanned each locker, looking for one with my name on it. Once I finally found it, I smiled to myself and began walking towards it, only to have collided with another person.
Next thing I knew, I was on the floor, rubbing my behind in pain with my books sprawled across the room. "O-ow..." I mumbled, looking for the person I had bumped into. My eyes landed upon a spiky-haired blonde, who was in a similar position as myself. I immediately jumped up and extended a hand towards them, not bothering to pick up my own books. "Oh no... I'm so sorry. Here, let me help you up." I offered, only to have my hand be slapped away and for the boy to pick himself up. "I don't need your help." He hissed, dusting off his uniform and picking up the books he had dropped on the floor as well.
