Chapter 5 - "I Was Going To Tell You...Honest"

My phone would not stop bleeping. The alarm to get up was annoying me and I really did not want to get out of bed. I didn't have school but I usually got up early anyway. I heard an annoying and constant knocking at my door. The only person it could be if my door wasn't open would be Luke because Michael, Calum and Ashton all just run in and jump to wake me up or put their bloody freezing hands to my face causing me to jump. The knocking kept going and I was getting even more annoyed.

'It's open.' I said tiredly. The door slowly creaked open and to my surprise Michael was standing right there. 'What is it you want?' I yaned sitting up in my bed.

'Yeah...um....so your phone is kinda downstairs and it is constantly buzzing away...' He began, I raised an eyebrow at him. 'I don't know who it is...honest.' He put his hands up in a defensive way and I just sighed. 

'Alright.' I got up and walked down to where my phone was. I got there and Ashton and Luke were sitting on the couch staring at my phone as it buzzed away playing radioactive. 'So neither of you two knuckle heads have the guts to pick it up?' I asked and they both shock their heads. I sighed and grabbed my phone.

'Hey April!' I was greeted with as soon as I picked it up. I moved the phone away from my ear to see who it was. It was my friend Leah and she was an amazing skateboarder.

'Hey Leah!' I said happily. 'Why are you calling me I thought you were in America?' I asked. She went over to America to be a part of the WSC. World Skateboarding Campionships (A/N not so sure if that is real so....just follow) she was amazing, sorry is amazing.

'Well, I wanted to tell you I am back in town and I want to visit. Just thought I would call first. Question how come you didn't answer thew first like fifety times?' She asked me.

'Umm...I was asleep and it was in the lounge with two boys staring at it.' I sighed.

'Ohhh...so when can I come over next?' She asked.

'Um half an hour?' I asked.

'Sounds great. Half an hour and I will be at your front door.' She said before hanging up and I ran up to my room to change but was stopped by Michael.

'Who was it?' He asked not moving out of my way.

'Just Leah.' I said as I pushed my way through.

'As in skater-chick Leah?' He asked and I nodded. 'Cool.' He left and I ran into my room. I found an outfit and managed to get changed in roughly half an hour. By then I was standing at the bottom of the stairs staring at the girl right before my eyes. Curly red velvet dyed hair,crystal blue eyes, tomboy looks,skateboard,my best friend since school, loud, funny, totally carefree looking with a dash of trouble maker. Yep. I was standing before my best friend Leah Mayers.

'Hey April.' She smiled and we fell into a hug.

'Long time Leah.' I smiled as we broke free.

'Where is it we are heading?' She asked waving to the two boys who were still in the lounge with Michael.

'Back.' I smiled and we walked out the back.

'It really has been ages since I was here. I remember when you, me and Ash rode our bikes into the pool and made Michael super pissed.' We laughed remembering about five years ago when Michael left us home alone. He never wants to do that ever again.

'Yeah and Michael will never leave us three alone ever again.' I smiled.

'So April have you got a boyfriend yet?????' Yeah she may have been a tomboy and a "rebel" as she put it she still loved all the gossip.

'No. Even if I did you know how Micahael is.' I sighed. Michael was just protective of me. Really protective.

'Yeah...that is true....but it would be real funny to see how he would react coz that I can't imagine.' We laughed at the thought of Michael's reaction.

'What about you Leah? Got anyone?' I asked poking her with my elbow in the ribs.

'Nah..Single buddies.' We high-fived then just laughed. We laughed for quite a while until Luke joined us. Leah and I could go on for ages just laughing. I swear we had the best relationship ever. Besides Michael's and mine.

'What are you two lovely ladies laughing at?' Luke asked us as he joined. We stopped laughing stared at him and then started laughing again. 'I won't bother then.' He said and turned away. Leah and I stopped laughing.

'Wait Luke.' I said my cheeks really hurt. He stopped and turned to face us.

'Yus?' He said smiling.

'Where are the others?' I asked.

'Out.' He said shrugging his shoulders.

'And they thought it smart to leave us three?' I asked. Again he shrugged his shoulders. 'Luke....I'm apologizing for Ash yesterday.' I said and Leah looked at me with a confused look.

'It's cool. He would've found out anyway.' That was very true. 'Hey he wouldn't answer my question so I will ask you. What were you two even talking about in the first place.' I handed him my phone.

'Wha-? I am confused.' Leah asked.

'I will tell you after.' I said taking my phone of Luke. He gave me a strange look that even I didn't get. 'What?' I asked him.

'Would you?' He asked.

'Would I what?' I asked confused.

'You know what idiot.' He said.

'I am deeply offended.' I said fake shocked.

'Answer the question loser.' He smiled and I felt my heart sink a little.

'Depends.' I said teasing him.

'Oh really!?' He whinned.

'Yes.' He stopped whinning and changed to confused.

'To which one?' He asked.

'Leave and text me when you know. I have a guest who isn't you.' I said and Luke left.

'Well....?' Leah asked begging to know she was on the edge of her seat even.

'Okay so I may or may not have,' I paused looked around for any witnesses to this before continuing, 'kissed Luke.' And as if her favourite football team had just scored she screamed with joy. 'Calm the fuck down Leah.' I laughed.

'Sorry.' She kinda blushed.

'No need.' I smiled.

'Show me the texts.....and what was it like?????' She was quite nosy.

'Here.' I handed her my phone. 'And it was nice and Luke like.' I laughed shortly. She smiled at ,y phone and handed it back.

'Hey if you are free tommorow I was gonna go to the skatepark. Wanna join?' She asked as we headed back inside.

'Sure.' I smiled.

'I have to go...unpacking....I will text you later.' She smiled and hugged me as we arrived at the front door.

'Okay.' I smiled and let her leave, in which I joined Luke on the couch. 'Well?' I asked. 

'Are you sure about this?' He asked me. 'We know the consequences.' I nodded.

'100%.' He smiled at me and pulled me in for a kiss. It was the same nice, soft, warm Luke kiss like the first time only this felt more passionate and needy. We were so into the kiss that we didn't here the door open until we heard a small shriek come from the door in fact two small shrieks. We broke apart and saw Michael standing looking quite pissed and a wide-eyed Ashton.

'Tell me now.' Michael said between gritted teethand clench his fists.

'I was going to tell you...honest.'
