The cold breeze of New York attacked Jane when she opened the gates of hell, aka McGroover High School. Jane's apartment isn't that far away, just a couple of minutes by foot. She isn't a big fan of bikes and skateboards. She prefers a good walk and some fresh air to revive her. One her way back to the apartment, she stopped at the arts and crafts shop. Jane wasn't an artist, but she enjoyed splattering paint in a canvas and writing some quotes on them. As she walked pass the aisle, she spotted the thing she wanted, a very, very, very, small tip brush. Just perfect to write on her so called "master piece". Cheesy quotes always go well with a weird painting of a blue crab, green sea, and purple sand. She paid for her brushes and dashed to her home. A couple of minutes later, she finally reached her apartment. She fished through her pocket, finding her keys and opened the door. She usually has the apartment to herself at that time of the day because her brother works in the afternoon. Jane and her brother, Marcus, have been orphans for 13 years. When she was 1 and Marcus was 14, their parents got killed, she doesn't know much about the incident because Marcus doesn't really talk much about it. Since then, Marcus swore to protect his sister at any cost. When jane was 5, her brother discovered that she has the same powers as him and their mother. He trained her to hide these powers because with great powers comes great responsibilities and Jane wasn't ready for that. In the same year, Marcus got out of the foster system and took Jane with him. He currently works as a software engineer. When jane got to her room, she was too tired even to think so she flopped on her bed and slept. She woke up around 6 pm. Jane stumbled out of her room and to the kitchen, where she saw her brother with a bag.
"Great timing, Tinker Bell, I brought Chinese" said Marcus.
"Thanks Jimmy Neutron" relied Jane. They give each other nicknames like Tinker Bell and Jimmy Neutron.
They sat down and munched down their noodles and dumplings.
Marcus broke the silence and asked "So, how was school today?"
Jane looked up, sighed and said, "it was school, what so u expect?"
Marcus chuckled and said, "care to elaborate?"
Jane replied by, "well, it was pretty good. I passed by chem test"
Marcus smiled and said "good, any slip ups"
She rolled her eyes "no, don't worry my secret identity is still a secret"
"ok, good. Wanna hear about my day?" said Marcus in an exited way.
Jane looked up to her brother and said "well, I don't have a choice so, yes I would love to hear about it" note the sarcasm.
He smiled and started talking about his new project while Jane ignored him and started at her food.
When they finished eating and cleaning up the table, they sat on the couch and watched a movie. They were both movie-nuts. It was past 10 when they finished watching the movie. Jane went to her room and took her laptop and Marcus went to "save the world" or whatever. She isn't allowed to go be a superhero in school night, only in weekends which sucks. Do you think that criminals take a break on school nights? because I don't think they do. Jane fell asleep after the third episode she watched.
