The Bronze Assassin

Chapter 2!

Jane woke up from the annoying sound of her alarm clock. "5 minutes" she told herself, "just 5 more minutes". She rested her eyes and then her brother came barging in her room and singing the semi-annoying song "here comes the sun".

"urghhh, I really don't want to go to school" Jane said.

Marcus laughed and said "well, if get up and get ready in half an hour, I'll let you tag along with me tonight"

Without hesitation, Jane jumped out of her bed and rushed to her bathroom. Marcus stood there, shook his head and laughed.

After exactly 27 minutes, Jane was all ready and was waiting against the door. Marcus said he'll give her a ride. 2 minutes later, Marcus came with his laptop and more work stuff, high-fived Jane for not bailing on him. They got to his car and drove away. When they reached the school, Marcus noticed how sad Jane was to go to school so he said, "criminals should be worried cuz the silver and bronze duo are back on business tonight". Jane turned to her brother and gave him a sympathetic smile and got out of the car.

Jane got to homeroom 20 minutes early, she's not used to getting to school that early, the truth is she is never early. She's always late. Jane wasn't alone in class. A kid who sat in the 3rd row with his head down. Apparently, he took advantage of the time and slept. She didn't know his name, and simply didn't care. Jane never had a lot of friends. Mainly because she's scared, she'll reveal her identity and because friends ten to disappoint her. Though, she did have a friend here in MGHS, his name is Ryan. Ryan is Jane's friend since they were five. He is the only one who know about her power, expect her brother of course.

Boredom took over Jane, so she decided to pull out her notebook and doodle to pass this incredibly unbearable time.

After 5 more boring classes, lunch finally came. Jane hurried and met up with Ryan at their usual table.

"guess what?" jane said with grin.

"what? You got in another fight again?" replied Ryan

Jane giggled "no. the bronze assassin is on business tonight"

Ryan gave a confused look and said "but today is Wednesday, it's a school night"

Jane nodded and said "yeah I know, Marcus allowed me to tag along"

Ryan gasped in a dramatic way and said "film it for me! Please film it. I've always wanted to see the perspective of a hero"

Jane tilted her head and said "you know I'm not a hero, and you also know what I'm doing is against the law"

"yeah, so that makes you a superhero criminal that isn't actually a criminal and fight other criminal, but you aren't a hero"

"yeah kinds, you can say so" Jane said sarcastically.

Ryan pulled a serious look and asked "so... can you film it?"

Jane laughed and said "yeah sure, ok I'll film it"
