You say you are not worthy of love,
That you are incapable of loving yourself.
You have been beaten and abused
By the one that you had once loved.
You find yourself wandering aimlessly,
Telling yourself that you are worthless.
Seeing the world in grey and white,
Only catching glimpses of color.
Being with the few friends you still have,
Talking till there's nothing to talk about.
Sitting in that car,
Dreaming of what could have been.
Imagining what will become of you,
Dreaming for the life you long for.
'Young, Dumb, and Broken.'
Living for the moment.
The colors of the world blend and meld together,
But her (him).
Maybe she (he) does something to you,
Something new.
Maybe she (he) makes you see the colors,
Brighter than they've ever been.
New colors that you fall in love with,
Maybe you fell in love with her (him).
She (he) tells you, 'You're different."
And maybe you believe her (him).
Maybe you are different,
And she (he) makes you see it.
Those colors that brighten the room,
The colors you see when she's (he's) near.
Bright reds and oranges,
Sunset colors.
You tell her (him) you are afraid,
She (he) tells you its okay.
You smile,
She (he) hugs you.
