Setting- after spending lots of time together since they formed Voltron, lance has never noticed how pidge really looked. He never payed attention to her looks, but one day a smile changes that all.

Lance POV:

We just been on a mission on another random planet that I can't pronounce the name of, saving it from the Galra. It's tiring sometimes, being a paladin. Allura can really push us over the brink, sometimes I just want to go back home...

Lance snapped out of his thoughts and walked into the lounge room, everyone was sprawled out on the couches. They looked like they had been hit by a bus. Lance chuckled at the sight of his fellow paladins so disheveled.

Lance looked at each one attentively; Hunk was sitting down, eating some space goo. Shiro had basically passed out, his head hanging back and his breathing slow. Keith just sat there with his arms crossed, staring into space. Then pidge, pidge was sitting upside down, her legs hanging over the top of the couch. Lance smiled, she looked like a child sitting like that.

"Hello my fellow paladudes." Lance said with a cheerful tone. He was only answered back with a few grunts and a small 'sup'. Everyone was shattered. "Well your a lively bunch." Lance comment sitting down down in between pidge and shiro. He looked over pidge to see Keith, his face was straight and looked like stone. "So, how are you guys?" Lance said trying to lighten the mood. "Fine..." Keith said in a monotone voice. Pidge just grumbled and answered with, "fine, well I guess so. We're laying here about to fall asleep and some of us haven't slept in awhile." She said, becoming quieter near the end of the sentence. "Oh come on pidgey. Stop being so miserable. I have an idea, how about we go for a walk outside the castle? This is a pretty nice planet with a lot of greenery and the suns setting. It would be perfect to relax." He said still cheerful, Keith shook his head, "I'm going to train." He said getting up and walking out the room. "Nah I'm good, I'm gonna make some cookies, well try..." Hunk said, walking out the room also. Shiro was still asleep and Lance didn't want to wake him up, he glanced at pidge to search for an answer. "Sure sharpshooter." Pidge said getting up and sighing, stretching out her limbs. Lance stared as she stretched, admiring her small figure. Pidge glanced at him, "what are you staring at?" She questioned raising an eyebrow. Lance blushed slightly through his caramel brown skin. "N-nothing, lets go shall we?" He gained his confidence back and held out an arm for her to grab. "Of course kind sir." She mocked, bowing before taking his hand with hers.

~outside the castle~

Lance POV:

I looked over to see pidge standing next to me, she gifted a sweet smile that complimented her face. Her freckles ran under her eyes and over the bridge of her nose, where her slightly oversized glasses, they slide of her nose every once and awhile. Her honey eyes looked content as she leaned on the banisters of the castle ship. She, she was so perfect, I've never noticed how her pale skin looked so smooth and how her brown soft hair fit perfectly round her face. 'How have I never noticed how pretty she was before' I thought. I always would think she was cute, but more like in a non attractive way, but, after seeing her like this, I was certain she was perfect.

"Hey Lance... I can see you staring at me in the corner of my eye." She giggled before looking back at the scenery. "Beautiful." Lance breathes out. Pidge glanced at him, "what?" Lance looks at her, "u-uh, the sun set. It's beautiful." Lance sighed that she didn't know he was talking about her. She just smiled, "yeah, it is." She grinned and placed her elbow on the banister again, resting her head in her hand. Lance couldn't help it. He reached out and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "W-what are doing?" Pidge asked confused, Lance just gave her a goofy smile. "You, you are beautiful. Your a sunset pidge, a beautiful sunset." He said, cupping her cheek. She raised her hand and put it on the one lance had on her cheek. "It's not a sunset pidge~" She mimicked the time she got exited over tech, only to be put down by Lance. "I love you." Lance blurted out, he blushes profusely. "Me too. Lance McLain, I love you too." She smiles at him, Lance couldn't handle it, she was perfect. He bent down, lifting her chin between his thumb and index finger. Lance pressed his soft lips against hers, she looked shocked before melting into it. She held him close until the broke for oxygen. "Pidge, you are my sunset." He whispered staring into her eyes. Pidge burst out laughing, "your such a dork, 'you are my sunset' pfft!" She held her stomach, held in a giggling fit. Lance grinned. "Pidge? Will you... will you be mine? Mine, forever?" He said, Pidge looked up at him. "Yes! Yes you big goof!" She hugged him tightly. "YES!" Lance fisted in the air, "she said yes!" He stopped and looked back down at her.

908 words, so this is my first shot. I hope you liked it, it's hard to write about someone that you only know from a TV show and your imagination. But anyway, thank you for reading! 💚
