Why am I starting another book? Anyways, shower thoughts led me to this masterpiece. I seem to have forgotten one of the characters names and its gonna kill me.
So, the main character is Poet. She has lived her whole life in America with her Aunt Patricia. She's had a life without worry and she got to do what she wanted, with the exception of getting good grades in school of course. When Poet turns 17, her mother sends for her. Poet is to go home and be one with her family 6 months later.
When she arrives at the long forgotten place, she meets a man who is to be her husband. Poet has no class, no manners, no sense in being a wife. Poet is to live and train with her sister Natalie until her 18th birthday, the day she is set to marry.
During the process of becoming the perfect lady, a rude and obnoxious, but absolutely stunning, man comes along. He has even less sense than Poet when it comes to class and manners. He is the cousin of Natalie's husband, and his name is Kendrick.
Everywhere she turns, Kendrick is there to taunt and tease her. She powers through though. But what happens when his comments and weird mood get through to her? Read to find out I guess (I'm hopeless and I'm hoping this turns out better than my last book which I'm still currently writing. I think I'll put that one on hold).
