It's annoying when you can read tons of stories on Wattpad about the perfect romance, but not have one yourself.
Even worse, to read about the perfect prom night and how you asked your crush out—with dignity and courage.
And yet, I can only read this. Not do it.
But I won't let that happen. I'm going to get that perfect prom. And ask my crush out.
And I'll get the perfect dress.
I will.
Now to just figure out how exactly. I looked online. Beautiful dresses. Not within my price range.
I went to JC pennys. I like the company. The prices aren't that bad.
But then I saw it.
It was gorgeous. It was a city triangle sleeveless dress. Purple in color.
Actually, I saw that. The price read,
"$104.99" this was with a coupon. Without a coupon, it was $139.99. Not bad. And doable. I added it to cart. I had heels that'd go perfectly with the dress. I also had my mothers crystal lavender hairpin. I couldn't wait! Oh yeah, I need to think of a way to ask my crush out.
Never mind.
I arrived at school and walked into the school gym. That's where prom was. I saw him there, waiting for me.He walked up and said, "You look positively stunning." My cheeks flushed red.
"T-thanks you too." I shakily replied.
He led me to the dance floor, put one hand around my waist, and making his other hold my hand in the air as we began to sway.
"You're a good dancer." He whispered.
"Thanks. You too." I replied.
The mike screeched. We all turned our attention to our principal."Its time to announce our prom king and queen! And a bonus prince and princess AKA the cutest couple!" She exclaimed.
"Our prom king is Roger McGuire! And his queen is Tiffany Connery!" She said happily as she crowned the students.
"Our prince is Matthew Chaucer and our princess is Zoe Montgomery!"
My jaw dropped.
Since when were we a couple?!
"Since I asked you out to prom." He whispered in reply, as though reading my thoughts.
"W-Wow." Was all I could stutter in reply.
He led me to the stage, and she crowned us. He then turned, and kissed me outright.
End.
