Time to Wake Up

*Fawn's pov*

Fawn awoke to the sound of heavy breathing. Terrance rested his head on the edge of the bed not far from her reach. She reached down and gently stroked his fur.

"Aren't you a sleepy one," She laughed to herself.

Just then Terrance's other crew mate (the liger, Seris) entered carrying a tray of medical supplies.

"Oh! You're awake! That's great!" Seris exclaimed ", and I see Terrance is not. Also, great. How are you feeling?"

"Let's just say I hope no one else has a secret crush on Terrance," Fawn chuckled.

"Well you can rest assured that he's not my type," Seris joked ", I've kinda got to the point where he's like a little brother to me, and it be weird for me."

"I get that," Fawn agreed.

Seris quickly replaced Fawn's bandages and left her with a sleeping Terrance. Terrance slept for several hours before he awoke.

"You... You're awake," He muttered sleepily.

"Yeah," Fawn assured.

"I'm so glad you're okay!" They exclaimed simultaneously.

"Me! You're the one who was injured!" Terrance expounded.

"You have a point," Fawn agreed ", How long have I been out?"

"Two weeks," Terrance answered.

"Have you been here the whole time?" Fawn asked.

Terrance nodded sheepishly.

"Have you slept during this time?" Fawn added.

"Yeah!" He snapped.

"Other than just now," Fawn clarified.

"Not really," Terrance admitted.

She gave Terrance a hug and told him to get some rest.

*Terrance's pov*

Terrance woke a few hours later and prepared himself for the day. he headed out to the crew to see Seris.

"Cius did it!" She proclaimed.

"Did what?" Terrance asked curiously.

"Jeez guys, you're being ridiculous," Fawn claimed ", It's just clothes!"

Terrance turned to see fawn had found herself a cute, and sexy, pirate outfit to wear. she even messed her hair up a little and put a piercing in her ear.

"Why are you wearing that?" Terrance asked baffled.

"Well I figured i couldn't just wear your coat forever," Fawn explained ", so I asked Seris If i could borrow something."

"I think she should keep it!" Cius exclaimed.

"Definitely not," Seris disagreed.

Suddenly they were interrupted by a loud crash. An opposing fleet plunged itself into Terrance's hull. Copious men swung over and onto the ship surrounding the group. One member of the opposing force held a sword to Terrance as if to challenge him. "I've seen you pull a gun many times, but how are you with a sword I wonder," He hissed. 

"Seems their's only one way to find that out," Terrance growled.

He gestured to Seris who tossed him a sword. Terrance being the guy he is swung his sword showingly before engaging in combat. Seris poofed herself and joined in attacking the other men. Fawn and Cius joined in fighting as well.

Terrance and his opponent started to make their way to the bow of the ship as they fought. His opponent swung his sword at Terrance forcing him to jump up onto the bow. Terrance struggled to keep his balance for a second as his opponent hopped on the bow as well.

"I must admit you aren't that bad of a fighter, but I'm afraid you won't be good enough," He proded.

"If you think I'm not good enough then why are you afraid?" Terrance asked.

The two worked their way to the end of the bow as their swords clashed. As they reached the very end the sound of the distress call of a rabbit distracted Terrance just long enough for his opponent to trip him with his tail. He just barely managed to grab the bow. Seris poofed herself human once again. "Captain!" She cried.

"Subdue her!" Terrance's opponent ordered.

Seris was quickly held still by multiple men. Terrance's opponent put one foot on Terrance's fingers. He kneeled down and asked ",Tell me where the Iris is."

"The what?" Terrance asked.

Terrance truthfully never heard of this thing before, and he couldn't understand why someone would attack him over whatever it was.

"The Iris! I know you have it!" He exclaimed in anger.

"I ashore you I don't," Terrance argued.

His opponent stood back up, turned very slowly, then made his way off the bow and onto the ship. He snapped and two men stood at the space.

"I see you have a li-ger. You know those are so rare, but so useful. It's a shame.” The guy explained.

Terrance struggled to get up on the bow as the guy pulled out his sword. Terrance ran as fast as he could only to be stopped by some of the guy's crewmen. Seris tried to struggle away as the guy plunged his sword right through her stomach.

He pulled his sword out and Seris fell to the ground.

"Peer. Noon. With the Iris or the little bunny girl will suffer the same fate," he threatened.

With that all the men went back to their ship.

Terrance grabbed Seris holding her tight.

"Hang in there kid your gonna be okay," he cried.

"Hehe with your knowledge of medicine? Yeah good luck with that. I'm mix too so no hospital would take me and we both know it." Seris teased ", look Terrance there's something I never told you. My parents were stupid. They thought they were meant to be no matter what anyone else said. People tried to tell them to wait until they got married because they knew it wouldn't work out, but they didn't listen. That's when they had me. It took a kid for them to realize that everyone else was right. Only now they had this kid neither could stand to look at because it would just remind them of each other, so they avoided me. When you spoke of a world where someone like me could fit in with everyone else... It was an amazing thought. Terrance... You were my first family."

With that said she wiped a tear from his cheek and then she died.
